This is one of the many reasons for party elections. Once people elect someone then no one can complain about it.

PMLN workers should immediately demand for party elections so things like this don't keep happening and they get to chose the ticket holder.

Party elections decide office bearers for a party... elections are NOT held to decide who gets the ticket and who doesn't! Intra-party-elections is just one of the tools that can/should be used to gauge a persons popularity but NO ONE PARTY is basing their ticket distribution purely on who got elected to some office within the party! All the parties have a "selection" process whereby party tickets are given.
