Private hospitals in KP earn billions from health card scheme

So how does KPK pay for this?
Is tge Gov takingnloabs or have a revenue streqmnto fund this project (whichbwoukd be great).

KP allocates 10 billion each year in budget for This service. And that's how we get to pay the insurance agency.

Very true. UK was bankrupt after the war. The money rebuild a new Britain came from two sources -

  • loans from USA which only got paid off recently
  • money creamed off the Iranian oil fields which were mostly under Anglo-Persian Oil Company [today the oil giant BP] during 1950s/60s. When the Iranians realized under PM Mossadeq they were being screwed over British MI5 and CIA overthrew him and brought in Shah of Iran.
That crazy hatred you see by Iranians of Britain and USA comes from this period.

@Dariush the Great @Arian
How Iran would have been different had Mossadegh was not overthrown Iran would not be a theocracy or it would have been more moderated

NHS is not possible.
Loool
atomic bomb not possible
Jf17 not possible
Al Khalifa not possible
Missiles not possible
Independent Pakistan not possible

We are a nation of can't be done. Sorry bro I am not with you. Anything is possible if you have the will.

So u see brother when nations want to do something thay can. But when you have a negative mindset you cannot

I am a old man and have decades of experiance with NHS. Yes there are private hospitals better. But for millions of patients every day NHS does a sterling job. Trust me when you need a consultant badly you get it fast. When you need a operation you get it fast. On average the NHS delivers a service across the breadth of this country that is far better than most of the world. In fact NHS in UK has almost a religious following. And it is one of the finest institutions of Britain that most of us are proud.

Well sir u may have alot of experience but might not have compared it to others. NHS is hyped alot and politics is played with it. It takes huge funds and and i as a Pakistani was able to compare it with our poor system and i found our poor system very quick. In emergency it may be quick but in UK there were alot of complaints about long waiting time. A GP attends at max 10 to 15 patients a day and gets applause, while in Pakistan a specialist attends almost 200 to 300 patients a day. Everywhere its walk in for specialists and u get test results instantly.
Still i agree with u its a good system and way better than US. Anything free healthcare for public is good. Now in Pakistan even private healthcare is free due to this SSP scheme.

No, KP provide Rs. 12 billion to Insurance company and Insurance company paid Rs. 10 billion to hospitals for treatment of 434000 patients in last year, this year they wll pay Rs.20 billion as premium.

Private hospitals should end.
Private doctors should end.
NhS type system should be set up.
Everyone should pay into the system and free medical should be provided for everyone

Britain practically lost their empire in NHS...

It eats more than 30 percent of budget and is still less advanced than US and German private setups

Budget allocation for last year was 10 billion.

The spending at end of same year are Rs 10.5 billion. ( 0.5 billion more than allocation)

I don't know from where you get the 20 billion figure for this year allocation, if you can share a source. Btw the question was "how kP government afford to pay for insurance of its residents." The answer was only possible by pointing towards allocations in previous provincial budget. And that's what I did.

Read the second article you have shared:

“We are going to ensure that the hospitals provide good environment to the patients. The government is giving about Rs70 billion to the health sector every year in annual budget and Rs12 billion has been given to SSP this year which will be increased to Rs20 billion in the next financial year,” said officials.
