ISLAMABAD: Although he was chief executive of the poorest province of the country, Nawab Aslam Raisani is the richest of the chief ministers who recently handed over power to caretaker chief ministers.

According to a statement filed by Mr Raisani to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the former Balochistan chief minister had wealth exceeding Rs522 million at the end of fiscal year 2011-12 in comparison to last year’s Rs351m.

In his statement, Mr Raisani has shown Rs434.5m under the headline of other assets, but has not given details. His assets include two Harley Davidson motorcycles, one Mercedes sports car, One Hummer H2 and a house in Islamabad.

In all, the former Balochistan chief minister has eight properties valuing at Rs143m. He also owns a security company worth Rs150m, a coal mine worth Rs7m and an annual income of around Rs10m from agriculture land.

The former chief minister of Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif, and his two wives hold assets of Rs416m. His first wife Ms Nusrat Shahbaz is richer than him, with assets worth Rs269m.

The statement submitted to the ECP shows that Mr Sharif had assets of Rs146.47m whereas his second wife Ms Tehmina Durrani had Rs10m.

After becoming a chief minister, Mr Sharif had stated that he had wealth of Rs115m, with Ms Nusrat Shahbaz holding assets of Rs193m and Ms Tehmina Durrani having assets and cash of around Rs11m.

The statement submitted to the ECP shows that the actual value of assets owned by Mr Sharif by June 30, 2012 was Rs258.69m, but he also had liabilities of 762,069 pounds loan taken in London.

Former chief minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Amir Haider Khan Hoti holds assets worth Rs90m. He is a landless ‘Khan’ as per the statement filed by him to the ECP.

The statement said that his wife had around 561 kanals of inherited land worth around Rs72m. She also had two CNG stations, business in Dubai and some gold. According to the statement, Mr Hoti also has a car in his name worth Rs1.7m besides Rs1.1m cash in hand and in banks.

Former Sindh chief minister Qaim Ali Shah is the poorest of all the recent chief ministers with a net wealth of Rs16.45m, according to a statement filed to the ECP.

It said that Mr Shah’s only source of income was around 70 acres of agriculture land with no business and his only car was owned by the family in the name of his daughter Moona Shah.

The total value of his property is around Rs7m, including a house in Defence Phase V, valued at Rs3.2m

There shall be a national body of highly experienced professionals, to handle the taxes and forex coming from overseas Pakistanis.

No individuals.. no matter how hones media potray them, shall be allowed to decide about spending of state money.

This answers the myster of balochistan underdevelopment yet no one honest politician to dissolve this system of oppression and slaveery gifted to us by evil british!
