Rohingyas should be citizens or be given their own state: Mahathir

Bold part: Do not forget that it is still true that the military strength of Pakistan plays a defense role for Bangladesh. We want India to look forever towards its western border leaving us free to organize our economy as well as military.

A strong Pakistan is a good defense for Bangladesh. However, a stronger BD military is also helping PA. We almost had no military asset before 1971, but now we have quite an asset. This is why your Advani of BJP criticized Indira Gandhi policy in 1971 saying India would be facing two strong Pakistan in the future. It is already happening.

This is why your generals and ministers keep coming to BD to kowtow our leaders.

Lol.. if we ever want to look at Bangladesh with intentions for a military operation, then 10 Pakistans in the west cannot save Bangladesh. But why should we? People try to occupy or take things of any value, but Bangladesh has no value!

Yep they used to be in Northern Arakhan before they were ethnically cleansed in 2017.

BD needs to annex the land.

Its better that you buy some Thunders first, because Myanmar have them. Will keep the parity and won't lead to escalation.

Great.
Use this capability to solve Kashmir, Maoists, and NE insurgencies.

You must be very ignorant about the psychology of military people. The officers are trained to behave reciprocally of any troop movement in the vicinity. To them, no other country's troops are their friend. India should not think it easy to operate in BD though on the paper our forces are tiny comparing to yours. Think of other factors. For example, India could not send/operate tanks in our terrain in 1971.

BD terrain is a paradise for defensive war. Your Maratha tried for a long ten years, but could not conquer it. The Akber-time Delhi Mughals had to fight for a long 30 years before it could finally subjugate it. Can you afford 300 years to do it?

So, being naive at military history and matters please do not over dream about BD. What is your idea when your troops leave their western front? PA will love it. In reality, India itself is in a quagmire. India is a giant with its feet made of clay.

They are our own people, not any inimical foreign country at war with us! But if Bangladesh tries to become that inimical foreign country at war with us, then they will get a very different treatment, no? :)

Now you are going into horses and elephant warfare! Check your map, any point of Bangladesh would be like 150-200 kilometres max from us, and it's completely surrounded by us! And I have already recognised Bangladesh's war fighting capabilities and gave it half a day's of resistance against our forces before it succumbs to our air power and short to medium range missiles and rockets, and artillery! Isn't this enough? :)

OK, not horses but check your tank capacity. Can they enter BD's clayey land? It could not do so in 1971. Check that war history. Now, look at your own map. Your war strategists certainly do not entertain that your NE is not vulnerable because, in terms of war supply, machines or logistics, this land is confined by our land.

On the other hand, the entire BD is self-sufficient. We will face your IA troops in our west and north-west. And, do not please say anything about the strength of IAF. To win over a country the enemy troops have to enter and fight. Not even 300 years is enough and Pakistan will raise Islamic flag on top Lal Kellah within three months.

Don't waste your time they still suffer from Mard e momins tonic they drank in past. In reality they saw neutral or allied India but they have no idea what enemy India can do to burst their bubbles.

See the map around BD and you will see why your leaders are sooo willing to appease us. Bd has the most important geography. Do not entertain about taking BD. If history is any truth it is we who took over many parts of India. And it was not by talking Bakwas all the time like you love to do, but by braveness. This is what we are. 1300 IA troops killed in 1971, what a tragedy for the Indians? So, don't talk bullshit, please!!

Listen, judging the ground realities by looking at map could be hugely deceptive. At first consider two scenarios, first 1971 scenario. Then, 3 under strength division of Pakistan army totaling 45,000 troops was fighting an insurgency by dispersing their troops all over Bangladesh, on the hand, India crossed Bangladesh on 3rd December with 15 division troops(4 lakhs) plus 1.5 lakhs Mukti bahini was already fighting against Pak army. Pak army was totally demoralized, cut-off from their home base by thousands of miles, under constant ambush by Mukti Bahini, running short on arms and ammunition. On the other hand Indian army crossed in the best time of the year(December) for infantry movement, 70 million friendly people receiving them with open arms where ever they entering inside Bangladesh. Mukti Bahini is acting as a path clearer. Indian army's main objective was to rushing Dhaka bypassing pocket of resistance by Pak army. Despite all of these favorable condition, your army needed 13 days to reach on the vicinity of Dhaka due to numerous geographic obstacles. Coward Niazi promptly surrendered, but many historian agree that, if Niazi concentrated his troops in Dhaka and continued to fight by making it a fortress, then they could have resisted Indian army for at least a month. Meantime UN would have called ceasefire and they could have avoided surrender and returned to West Pakistan with dignity intact. But they squandered that chance due to extremely low morale.

Now comes to present days scenario, Our present armed forces are much more stronger compared to Pak army in 1971 in Bangladesh. We have 3 lakhs army personnel stationed all over Bangladesh in strategic positions. This time, 170 million people will not await Indian invaders with garland in hands, rather they will swell the ranks of army and ambush Indians by thousands. Geographic obstacles remain the same. Our mighty rivers and swampy land are our biggest strategic depth. In 1971, even under equipped and demoralized Pak army were able to put up resistance in many places in Bangladesh by taking advantage of the defensive terrain. Read some excerpt from this article-

Lessons to learn from India's PT-76 operations in 1971 Liberation War
https://defence.pk/pdf/threads/less...-76-operations-in-1971-liberation-war.616526/

The Pakistani army had entrenched itself in one fortified city after another, separated by large rivers that posed formidable obstacles to Indian tanks and heavy weapons

However, not all of India’s attempts to use the PT-76's amphibious capabilities panned out. The 5th Squadron’s tanks repeatedly bogged down in marshes and fell behind the infantry. When they tried to ford the Meghna River on Dec. 12, the tanks’ hull seals proved leaky, forcing them to take an overland route instead.

Furthermore, the lightly armored vehicles suffered losses to Pakistani 106-millimeter recoilless guns, even when making successful attacks.

Now tell me, how many days it will require Indian army to capture Dhaka now, if at all? it may look just 150-200 km, but ground reality is totally different. So, your complacency about India surrounding Bangladesh in 3 sides is totally hollow. In reality, Bangladesh almost severed your north-eastern states and created chicken neck security nightmare for you. Rather than boasting about capturing Dhaka in half a day, worry about how to defend north-east and chicken corridor in case someday China and Bangladesh act in unison and decide to obliterate that unnatural appendage hanging precariously on the other side of Bangladesh.:P

Appease you? Oh please...it's called carrot and stick approach, in one way or other your teeny weeny country will continue to toe our line, but carrots make things a little sober. :)

Now come on... It would be ridiculous to consider a possibility of Bangladesh going crazy enough to go to war with us, your leaders are not as foolish as pdf Bangladeshis are! And I was generous enough to already recognise Bangladesh's half a day of war fighting capabilities against us. Now give it a break. :)

Yes, 1000 years was too long. We should spare you now.

Who? Bangladeshis? Who can't even truly rule themselves? :D

Any stupid would know who is playing carrot and stick game. It is BD which has leverage over India because of its enmity with Pakistan and China, and because India cannot extend its eastward link without going through BD. India has no leverage over us, we do not even depend upon India for our main import, cotton.

We have spread the sources that include Pakistan, Central Asia, the USA and also West African countries. For rice, we do not depend upon our enemy country, India. On the other hand, India depends upon our market for exporting its raddi goods. Our medical patients earn them very good money. After all, India is a poor country whose living standard index is at par with the Sub-Saharan countries.

They need our help. But, I wonder, how long BD can keep on helping it?
