The Russian Federation will participate in the development of light fifth-generation fighter specifically for the Air Force of India, said on Monday the Indian defense portal Brahmand Defence and Aerospace News.

"During the talks held during the visit of an Indian military delegation to Moscow headed by the commander of the Air Force Pradeep Vasant Naik, the Russian side confirmed its readiness in conjunction with the Indians to develop a new lightweight fifth-generation fighter, which will meet the specific requirements of the Indian Air Force" - the report says Internet portal.

According to the newspaper, which refers to sources in the Indian delegation, a new light fighter will be developed on a platform other than the severe joint platform, which currently creates a promising multipurpose fighter of the fifth generation in India has received the designation FGFA.

The newspaper reminds that in December 2010, Rosoboronexport, a corporation HAL (Hindustan Aeronautics Limited) and Sukhoi signed a contract to develop a sketch and technical project FGFA. Yup!! I doubt this gonna happen..i mean wtf AMCA, FGFA and now this??...no way in hell....I dont think we are that rich to fund all these projects.

new light fighter? Hoooo dont think so, we must just concentrate in 1 5th gen for now.

But at last it says 2 prototype designed then mostly it may be PAK-FA 1ly with different name

But why they call light 5th gen its more than 19200KG right ?
