Employees of petrol pumps of a particular company, endorsed by Sania Mirza, are so upset by her marriage to Shoaib Malik, that they have taken to removing her posters from their petrol pumps.

"We have removed Sania's face from all the posters displayed here as we don't like her marrying a Pakistani cricketer," said an employee at the company's petrol pump at the Bangalore International Airport road.

"We were Sania's fans earlier. That is not the case anymore. How can any Indian marry a Pakistani?" asked an attendant at another petrol pump.

A businessman, who owns a petrol pump, said all posters featuring Sania had been removed because they don't want any trouble.

"This is just being done to be on the safer side. How do we handle if some miscreants decide to pelt stones at us. There is nothing we can do in such a situation. We hope removing the posters makes it safe for us. We don't want to invite any trouble," said the businessman.

"Few of our regular customers took strong objection to her posters and advised us to have them removed," he added.

This is very narrow minded and disserning, its her life, she can choose to do what she wants.

It should not matter to anyone or effect anyone's stance on her.

Its a a natural reaction.

While fans idolize for ur achievements ,they demonetize when u fail them. And considering the current state of indo-pak relationship its hardly surprising.

well you see case of Tiger woods........he was playing good.......but had trouble in his personal life.....sponsers ran from him.

Bro, personal life do effect Proffessional life of celebrities.

Moreover, sania was not playing well for many years now.

People in India have still not forgotten what 10 Pakistanis did in mumbai........subcontinental persons are very emotional

what the marriage has got to do with anything, its her life and her choice, marriage is not a national achievement, she achieved for the nation and made her pround but this is her personal life and personal matters and should be let alone..

What type of reactions are these?????????

And from secularism came into all this??????

She's a Muslim married a Muslim what's unusual in this?

Why pakistani members forgets that Sania is free to do what she want but the petrol pump owner is also free to do what he likes.

After all its free country, he also has right to free speech etc. etc.

One must remember that majority of the Indian fans of Sania are because she's from India not because she is best tennis player or good looking like Maria Sharapova.

She has never been to top 20 in the world, she's just a good player from India that's it.

So, why react like Hippocrates both sania or petrol pump owner have equal rights.

You are comparing the case of a sex crazed pervert to a case of an Indian women marrying a Pakistani.

You have to differentiate between people becuase everyone has a different outlook and view on things not to mention their different background.

You cannot hold responsible a whole nation for the actions of a few.

Well even I am disappointed at Sania marrying Shoaib but not because Shoaib's a Pakistani but because she could have found a much better person.

Shoaib is just not something she deserved.

If she was marrying someone really classy in Pakistani, we would have had no objection.

But if she had to marry a guy like Shoaib then she could have found a much better guy in India itself.

Do you know how much love people in India and Pakistan has for each other? So reactions are obvious. do we really need a rocket scientist to understand this simple bitter fact? :azn:
