You do realize that the modern boundries of Pakistan were carved out in reference to Ummayds conquests in Indian Subcontinent and they were staunch wahabi to.. If it was not for the Ummyad invasion of Sindh, Persia and Afghania we wouldnt have Pakistan today. So be thankful to history instead of laughing about wahabi influence.

Mera Bhai, the Wahabi movement started in the 18th century, the Ummayid dynasty came a long, long time before that.

How did you come to the conclusion that the Ummayids were Wahabi's?

Mohammed Wahhab was born much later.

Oh please do save us your b/s wahhabism is a plague eating the core of our islamic ideals while doing a brilliant job in tarnishing our beautiful religion.

Wahhabism comes from a guy called Abdul Wahhab a guy ridiculed by his own father and brother for distorting Islam both whom were Islamic Sheikhs, He discovered the works of the Ibn Taymiyya and started preaching a reformation of Islam based on Ibn Taymiyya's ideas.

Abdul Wahab made a pact with the chieftain of Najd - Muhammad Ibn Saud, the founder of the modern royal family, which all regions conquered by this bandit would adhere to his teachings. With the aid of Lawrence of Arabia the message was propagated in order to help bring the fall of the Ottoman Empire.

If Saudi is an all weather friend then may Allah help us all as our people are suffering from the minority of lunatics who adhere to their idiotic ideology.

Saudi influence in matters of religion should be heavily curtailed and it's about time our govt clamped down on schools of thought that preach nothing but hatred.

the Ummayid Empire didn't convert anyone and didn't rule the modern boundaries of Pakistan. Plus they weren't Wahhabi either.

She's not even allowed to drive there...Recently Saudi Government charged a woman who defied the driving ban for women... Wahabi bs.
