The Saudi SCOPA Defence Military Industries Company, one of the companies of the Ajlan & Brothers Group, participated in the first global defense exhibition, which was held in Riyadh from 6 to 9 March, and on the sidelines of the exhibition, a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed to supply and localize the manufacture of weapons, systems and platforms with International companies specializing in all kinds of military industries and their uses, the most prominent of these companies are fincantieri, Paramount, Norcatec and black sage, as well as controp, u-tacs, palo allto networks and c-speed, as well as force I decon and NDI, on top of its JVs with a large number of major global companies.

Al-Ajlan added, “We seek through SCOPA to achieve the vision of localizing technologies related to the military industries and expanding in this field through the private sector as a great national goal that achieves national societal security, enriches the local economy and provides new job opportunities associated with these broad industries, and we touched through partnerships and understanding with Foreign companies from different countries that have expressed their appreciation for this trend and their eagerness to extend partnership ties that are consistent with our blessed vision. The platform of the first defense exhibition was a witness to the importance of localizing the military industry that serves our economy and national security and achieves societal interests agreed upon by even our foreign partners..

Our CEO, Nasr Alghrairi made the front page today with the official show magazine where he highlighted the company’s aspirations and plans; he mentioned that the Saudi Ministry of Defense is interested in the watch keeper drone called the WK-X in Saudi Arabia. He mentioned that the first two batches will be produced in the United Kingdom, while the rest of the batch will be produced in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with a localization rate of more than 50 percent. He hopes to sign the contract with the Ministry of Defense at the end of this year.
