Shahed 285, Iranian light attack helicopter

Good job Iran keep it up and good luck :)

Great job Iran.
I like the farsi language, it is kind of sweet and cute. I saw the ex queen's interview.
Even Nijad sounds sweet(and a bit gay) when he speaks. :)
Compared to that arabic is rough.

Iran is really approaching the peak of the summit - after this it will be a quick ... easy jog ... the hardest part is to get to the peak you strive hard , suffer and pain is experienced but you follow your dream

Once you achieve the summit you reap the awards of being independent and your R&D bears fruit a great example for all Muslim countries what they can achieve with sanction

If it looks like a Helicopter , and it flies and hovers like a helicopter , and it kills Tanks belonging to other nations - by hell fire missiles , god golly then it must be a Helicopter made in Iran

And that little tinny gun does moves , and it can take out 30-40 soldiers from ground what else does a nation wants from a helicopter specially if it produces these at will

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC)'s latest homemade attack helicopter, the Shahed (Witness) 285, has joined Iran's aerial fleet. The Shahed 285 was unveiled Sunday on the anniversary of the 1982 liberation of the Iranian city Khoramshahr -- which was occupied by Iraqi forces during the 1980-88 war.

The IRGC says the state-of-the-art helicopter is capable of taking part in seaborne and airborne combat operations. The Shahed 285 can carry autocanons, machine guns, guided missiles, anti-armor missiles and air-to-air and air-to-sea missiles.

The "100-percent domestic-made all-weather aircraft" has a slick aerodynamic design and is capable of taking off in harsh conditions.

The chopper's rotors and cabin are made from advanced composite materials. The newly developed aircraft is easy-to-maintain and can be stored in combat zones for immediate access.

Iran's latest endeavor follows the successful test-fire of its new deterrent ballistic missile, the Sejjil II, which has a 2000-kilometer surface-to-surface range.

Over the years after the 1979 Islamic Revolution, internationally blockaded Iran has managed to design and manufacture various missiles, fighters, drones, submarines, radar systems, and military vessels.

This part of the article is highlighted for some people who didn't read it:

The Shahed 285 has obviously been designed as a "budget" helicopter, almost everything about it is cheap and easy to produce; this necessarily has it's trade-offs and isn't inherently a good or a bad approach. According to reports by Mashregh News, the AH-85 is tasked with scouting out enemy locations and because of their light armor and high speed, attack targets of opportunity. [1] The underlying implication here is that it's not meant to replace the AH-1, it's meant to supplement them in the same way OH-58s supplement AH-64s in the US Army.

Anyway....is Iran producing the engines for these helicopters as well?
