Chief of Sikh for Justice Gurpatwant Singh Pannu has reaffirmed Sikh community's resolve to free Indian Punjab from India's occupation.
Addressing a news conference via zoom from Toronto, he said India has been committing crimes against Sikhs since 1947and carried out genocide of Sikh people in 1984.
Quoting an example of a referendum in Scotland, Gurpatwant Singh Pannu said democracies and UN charter allow right to self-determination.
Sikh for Justice representative made it clear that our fight is not against a political party but it is against Indian oppression.
He said Khalistan Movement is aimed at liberating Punjab from Indian occupation and granting rights to the people, especially to the Sikh community.
He said Sikhs for Justice is organizing referendum to apprise the World conscience about voice of the Sikh people and how Indian oppressive regime is strangulating their human rights.
He said around 400,000 Sikh people participated in the referendum in UK and voted in favour of an independent State of Khalistan.
Replying to a question, Mr. Pannu said from January next year, we are also going to start a campaign in Indian Punjab, where every citizen, irrespective of his or her religion, can cast vote in the referendum

The Khalistan Referendum, organized by “Sikhs for Justice”, has reached Canada. Voting for the referendum will commence on 18th of this month in Brampton, a suburban area of Toronto.
Even before the referendum, Sikhs in Canada carried out a five-kilometer long car rally and attracted the attention of local people towards their movement.
According to media reports, over two thousand vehicles participated in the car rally in Toronto.
Besides, a truck rally organized in connection with Khalistan Referendum was advertised through mega billboards.
Earlier, the referendum was held in the United Kingdom and some other European countries

As i said many times that United Kingdom is giving platform for Anti India Activities !!!

Airport Gurdwara in Brampton had a huge rally and posters everywhere about the referendum.

Lawn signs are everywhere in Markham about the referendum .

They should always have been free and Independent, getting everyone stuck in one single communal India is just stupid

Khalis logon ko mulk bhi waisa ho ga jaisa Pak logon ne banaya hai (Jiye Bhutto Sharif)

I don’t care if Khalistan becomes a reality or not but the Sikh religious sites are scattered all over Punjab, KPK and parts of India so they won’t truly have a true Khalistan within the current demographic boundaries of India. I don’t care if they want Khalistan but it’s boundaries must not extend to Pakistan

We're too concerned with trying to liberate ourselves from the Great Turdeau than worrying about that an irrelevant "struggle for freedom" in the Brampton ghetto.

Good, Canada should invade India and liberate Khalistan. 😂

United Nations - Security Council - Permanent Member Countries - Chamber Council Organisation - Military Mandate Mission Office - Tribunal Court have been provided with Ambani's and Adani Trade Deals with Canada, specially Iron !!!

Voting for Khalistan Referendum is underway in Canadian city of Toronto, aimed at seeking independence of Indian Punjab in a peaceful manner.
The voting started with a special prayer and thousands of Sikh people thronged to the site. A large number of women and elderly are standing in long queues to cast their vote in favour of Khalistan.
It is said that results of the Referendum will tell the world that the Sikh people want complete freedom from India.
Participants of the referendum, on the occasion, said that the Indian Punjab will soon emerge as an Independent country on map of the world. They said that India cannot deprive Sikh people from their right to independence at gunpoint. The participants also chanted slogans in favour of Khalistan.

Canadian Govt refuses to act against Khalistan Referendum despite Indian pressure

Despite the pressure of Indian lobby, Canadian government has refused to stop Canadian Sikhs from expressing their views through holding of Khalistan Referendum and by linking it with a peaceful and democratic process within the legal parameters of the Canadian laws.
Commenting on the situation which emerged after an attack on a Hindu temple and the poster of a revered Khalistan Sikh leader, a government official said the Canadian nationals have every freedom to express their views under the Canadian laws relating to the right to freedom of expression and right to free speech and assembly.
It is noteworthy that the Canada's official views came after lobbying by the Indian government urging the Canadian government to act against the rising pro-Khalistani sentiment in Canada.

Khalistan is a lost cause. There is no real push from the Sikh Punjabis of india. The ones making the most noise are the Sikh diaspora of UK, Canada, Australia and US.

To an extent yes. The British one had an overwhelming turnout with a large yes. But if the Sikhs back in India don’t do much then the cause is weakened. That being said the Indian influence and expat community has suffered due the Sikhs in western countries distancing themselves from India.
