Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday said some major powers of the world want to establish a loyal government in Bangladesh because of its importance in geographical location.

"Actually, due to the geographical location of Bangladesh, some big countries want that there will be a government here (in Bangladesh) which will just lick their feet," she said.

The premier said this while addressing a discussion organised by Dhaka City Awami League North and South units on the occasion of National Mourning Day at Bangabandhu International Conference Center.

She alleged that big countries always have their big brotherly attitude.

"If they become friends of anyone then there is no need for any enemy," she said without mentioning any country's name.

In this connection, she said that Ukraine has been their friend.

"What is the condition of Ukraine today? Women and children there are facing untold miseries. Their country has been demolished for this kind of friendship. That is the reality," she said.

Hasina, also the president of ruling Awami League, came down on these countries for their unnecessary nose poking in the country's election.

"There are some countries that are searching for democracy all the time," she said.

In this regard, she said that Awami League always struggled to establish democracy and voting rights of the people in the country.

"Leaders and activists of this party gave their blood to establish democracy. And now, we have to listen from some countries which are searching for democracy and rights for casting votes," she said.

The PM said that the people of the country laid their lives and gave blood to attain independence under the leadership of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

"This sacrifice and blood must not go in vain, we will not allow that," she said.

Talking about BNP's demand for democracy, Sheikh Hasina said she gets surprised when she hears them talking about democracy.

She said BNP was born through killings, coup and conspiracy, established by the illegal power grabber and its journey began through snatching away people's right for voting and the vote rigging. "So the word democracy does not go with them," she said.

She also alleged that BNP has some masters who "are saying that democracy has to be established in Bangladesh".

She questioned where they were while Ziaur Rahman ( BNP founder) killed the father of the nation, imposed martial law and grabbed the state power. And when HM Ershad grabbed the power by proclaiming martial law.

"At that time we struggled and fought to establish democracy, but did not see them," she said.

South and North City Corporation Mayors Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh and Atiqul Islam, addressed the function.
Dhaka North City Awami League President AKM Bazlur Rahman presided over the discussion while Dhaka South City AL President Abu Ahammed Monnafi spoke at the discussion while its General Secretary Humayun Kabir conducted it.

Dhaka North City AL Vice Presidents, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, Sadek Khan,MP, and Abdul Kader Khan, Joint General Secretary Motiur Rahman Moti, Organising Secretaries AKM Mazhar Anam and Md Azizul Haque Rana, Family Affairs Secretary Meherunnesa Mery and Dhaka South City Awami League Vice Presidents, Dr Dilip Kumar Roy, Mizbaur Rahman Bhuiyan Ratan and Sajeda Begum, Joint General Secretary Qazi Morshed Kamal, Organising Secretaries Akhter Hossain and Golam Sarwar Kabir, among others, also spoke at the discussion.

At the outset of the meeting, one minute silence was observed to show respect to the martyrs of the 15 August 1975 carnage and 21 August 2004 grenade attack.

Idiot Hasina, just give us back our democratic rights. Hand over power to a CTG and step down and see how our people and Govt together face India, China and Western powers.

Why do yo shed crocodile’s tear, Hasina? Every one knows about you. You will sell the interests of the country just to sit on the throne like it is in North Korea, a family enterprise.

This Hasina came to power with the help of General Moin who was helped by America to take over the govt. Hasina offered him the position of President and Moin betrayed democracy and the country. He got nothing in exchange and is now living in America.

America looked the other way when she started killing innocent people and telling the West that the Police are killing Islamic terrorists.

After American citizen Abhijit was killed in Dhaka and she blamed Islamic terrorists and arrested innocent three guys. America became suspicious.

She has been playing nasty diplomacy against America although that country is responsible to keep her in power.

Now that she has been exposed and America sanctioning many of her cronies, she is lambasting America. Before complaining she was just searching Stars in the sky to find new Continents where she and her cronies would immigrate.

Every day she lambasts America as if it is another 3rd world country. I believe that America will take action against the BAL party if it fails to organize a free and fair election.

The USA may impose a trade sanction on BD. The EU and England will follow it. Soooo, what happens next?

Only @IndianLite may answer it.

Buddy!

Sanctions aren’t happening unless Hasina supports terrorists against the west.

They know the alternative is the BNP/Jamat.

They don’t want Bangladesh to return to harbouring terrorists again.

And Biden will be fighting for his political life from January to care about little Bangladesh.

If democracy was really important to west - they would not protect all the Shiks in Arab and the military rule in Egypt.

@IndianLite ( Hasina'sLight) should be careful and try fleeing to USA or to any western country , if he/his family isn't already sanction! 😂

Hasina has stashed away about a billion pounds in the U.K.

She will live a comfortable life in London.

Her niece will be. Minister in U.K. government next year.

Should we throw a farewell party for Sheikh Hasina?:-)
@saif Bhai , I think it's not as easy as we are thinking! Our empress became desperate and most of our people have low IQ compared to other nations!

Unfortunately most of us can't do anything but creating tempest in tea pot!

Only military intervention or a so called people's revolution backed by intelligence can only take down this regime!

Here is a status of Pinaky Bhattachariya!

So if that's the case , if mighty BNP can't take down BAL , so I don't think there is any other way to kick out to is regime other than either military intervention or military backed civilian uprising!

BD people need no American sanctions. They need free and fair election.

But, lately I have become paranoid with the thought of Hasina imposing sanctions on Biden and America. It will be too cruel for them.

When will the Hasina sanction come? It is when Hasina conducts another election that no party except Ershad Party joins.

America refuses to recognize it.

This is when Hasina sanctions America. She refuses to export garment goods to that Razakar country. Let their women shiver in cold and fever. Do we care?

Buddy , the goal of west isn't war on terror anymore! So it really doesn't matter what Hasina's step will be on so called terrorism!

Now USA want to prevent China ,hence their main focus is pro Chinese parties!

So Hasina has no chance!

Also it looks world move on and still BAL rant about terrorism and nourish the fundamentalists and also plot some melodramas , like via road of old Dhaka terrorist with danda beri are flying with motorcycle and police can't catch them! Truly very poor scrip!

unfortunately govt even can't spread propaganda properly!

every propaganda of this regime is too lame to convince people, don't you think so? 😂

They know the alternative is the BNP/Jamat.
1/11 was actually minus two formula! Later because of Indian whining USA changed plan and let Hasina come in to power!

Now USA want to remove her! BNP ( read Zia family) is already minus from western list!

So how can they consider now BNP as alternative?

But they have many other alternatives in their hand!

Why not wait few more months to see the results? 😉

What if UK freeze her bank account? I hear that her son's property is already seized by USA! 😎

Hasina is very popular with Sylhetis 🤣🤣🤣

Labour, even Tories, won’t sanction her. Sunak knelt down to her remember 🤣🤣🤣

Anyway, even Tariq lives happily in London.

U.K. is the heart of global money laundering. That’s how the city of London stays relevant.

Military intervention is the way to go. BNP is too weak and disorganized to be able to dethrone Hasina.
