"It was his own fault (spot-fixing), one shouldn't cry on that, but he is definitely world class as Virat Kohli also said. He is coming back and coming stronger and stronger, he is getting better and better. He is going to be an asset for Pakistan in the next few years. When someone is bowling well, he is always a inspiration for younger fast bowlers. The way he swung the ball, the pace, the length, it was outstanding"
- Waqar Younis
Dont know when we wll get rid of waqar younas..we need a specialist bating coach and waqar younas is poor coach if we look at performance of Pakistan team under his coaching ..now they appointed another useless azar mahmood as bowling coach

Boom Boom Afridi has not truly ‘boomed’ for a very long time. We have not produce a truly world class opener since Saeed Anwar and truly world class middle order batsman since Javed Miandad.

To put it bluntly; unless you score 60 or 70 runes in first 6 overs without losing more than a couple of wickets, 20/20 match is all but lost. Additionally, in this format about 150 runs is par score and one needs to be close to 180 to give a decent target for the bowlers to defend.

We saw in the PSL that Tamim Iqbal was scoring in every match and that Quetta Gladiators batting was found wanting after the departure of Mohammed Nabi.

Let us accept the bitter truth that at this point in time Pakistan is sadly lacking in batting talent.

We always lacked batting talent. Looks like partition formula of British was conspiracy against cricket of sub-continent, somehow they managed to keep batsmen on one side of border while bowlers on otherside. :undecided:

Pakistanis bask in the glory of individual performance. They glorified Riaz in the world cup against Australia, while they are glorifying Amir against India now. But no Pakistani seem to mind that in both the games Pakistan lost

Honestly...I enjoy watching all the Pakistan games..just to see their bowling...Man..your bowlers are gem....Preserve them and nourish them....In age of 20-20, finding and grooming quality bowler is a rarity....Good Luck to Pakistan....Think for long run....Pakistan deserves attention and due credit from ICC, that inspite of their turbulent political and internal situation, they never lost producing quality bowler....

It was not just us but dhoni and Kohli also praised the bowling spell of amir if you bother to read above comments and many cricketers talked about that specific spell of wahab against watson in world cup
Individual performances of few batsman or bowlers matter as you cannot expect all batsman or bowlers to perform but no batsman from our side clicked today because of which we lost this match as our batsman did not put enough runs for bowlers to defend.. You won this match because of individual performance of kohli and previous match against Bangladesh because of individual performance of Rohit .There are +ve and -ve in every match and we point out boht so we should give credit to bowlers for giving fight even though our batsman disappointed

It was a treat to watch aamir..poor guy ..had he been in any other team,he would have reached great heights by now..Pakistan cricket culture(of fixing and betting) spoiled 4 years of his great career..to all the people who are questioning his come back ,just remember that he came from one of the most corrupted societies that even sells donkey meat in the name of beef..had he been in India, south Africa ,Australia,England or new Zealand I am sure he would have broken so many records by now.(remember he is not even 25..long way to go)..bowlers like aamir and batsmen like kohli make this game worth watching.

Mr. Amir fortunately could prove his metal in the first match itself, and that too against world class batting of india, that is very good sign for him. Now at least he has shutted off all the critics and haters of him which are in his team as well, as likes of hafeez saeed. He has taken the ghost out of his back and now has all the right attention of all the people. Now he just needs to continue the good work.

But i want to draw the attention of you people to other issues that indian batting nightmare and a new bowler (even a comeback in this case) is not a first timers. Indian batting have lost it to many many new comer bowlers. And if history suggests anything all these new coming bowlers get butt fucked in later matches even more than their collegues by indian batsmen. Even i dont know why is it like that.
Given this was a green pitch amir could move the ball, i dont know what would he do in the typical subcontinent pitches that are absolute belters, and now with attention of indian batsmens here.

By the way OP is over reacting for the reasons i mentoned above, its not a first time any bowler have taken 3 wicketts. It happens all the time, its pretty much routine. This individual worship is not new for pakistani team. I remember how wahab riaz was worshipped, and not a single word was listened against him in those days. And yesterday he was called a indian asset. :yahoo: So we know what is coming for Mr.Amir on the flat wicket pitches, when every indian batsmen will try to ride on him.:yay:

These bowlers comes from flat wickets in Pakistan, they didn't got selected in national team while bowling in England or Australia
And Amir was swinging the ball and swing is in the air dosen't matter what kind of pitch it is

screw imandari and ghairat, we need the whole trio (amir salman asif) back on the team. we also need to kick out the joke that is shahid afridi. he should have retired after 2009/10 which was his peak, and quit like a gentleman but no! what dickfaced moron, i swear!

Hi,

You are absolutely correct--Pcb made a blunder by not including Asif and Salman in the team---. This would have been a different match----.

If Asif would have been played earlier---he would have been ready by now.

The best part of the match was no one considered it fixed...was a bad day for saazish seekers. Its always fun to watch ppl living and crying for cricket.

Amir bowled with the new ball when it was swinging and that tall fellow too. Once the ball would have got older there would have been no difference between Amir and Sami

But look at hi pace constantly bowling around 150 kph ..bowling at 145kph+ and swing is the most deadly and difficult combination and i am happy to know i got my dream pace attack four pacer and all can bowl above 145+ kph which is dream for india

what the hell is this going on ... if you are not thankful of your existance then you have no right to live .. hang yourself..
Pakistan and their people were there for this kid when he was in his low and we brought them back every team have good and bad days it was our...
stop making him hero yet he has to acheive so much before you start thanking him like is saviour.
