Sri Lanka boycotts Nobel Peace Prize, Supports China

Sri Lanka will not attend Friday's Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony for jailed Chinese dissident Liu Xiaobo. External Affairs Ministry sources stated that this was a move to support the Chinese boycott of the event. China and 18 other countries have decided not to be represented.

The 58 countries having embassies in Oslo were invited to attend. However Russia, Ukraine, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Venezuela, Cuba, Colombia, Tunisia, Iraq, Iran, Vietnam, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Serbia, Pakistan, Egypt, Morocco and the Philippines have decided to forgo representation in support of China.

Good Sri Lanka is guarding its recently growing relations with China

China in the Region has got the Support of all It's neighbours. India dreaming to be a police man manufactured by The West Is All Alone ... Sorry Indians ...

Don't go all drum-beating supporting China. Atleast someone has the guts to stand for the principles it believes in and not for the sake of making China happy.

How many countries in the support list are democratic btw?
