Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial on Wednesday took suo motu notice of the delay in conducting polls in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Elections are to take place in both provinces after previous PTI governments had dissolved their assemblies before the expiry of their five-year mandated term on the orders of party chairman Imran Khan.
The CJP has constituted a nine-member bench for the case and ordered the matter to be fixed for hearing tomorrow (Thursday) at 2pm.
The bench includes Justice Ijazul Ahsan, Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Munib Akhtar, Justice Yahya Afridi, Justice Sayyed Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi, Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhail, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Athar Minallah.

@Topic - I am not optimistic about anything good coming from these kangroo courts, So withhold my comments to see how much time they take to decide as these kangroo courts holds world record of delaying the justice, what they do to ensure elections are conducted within time frame.

After years of observation, came to the conclusion PMLN/Nawaz family is a curse on Pakistan...They ruled and abused Pakistan for decades. And our establishment role needs to be fixed once and for all. Zia gave this most horrible monster to Pakistan.
Gen Musharraf was right not more than 2 terms for one person in PM office. We have Mughal dynasty running the democratic system.

What if court ask for voting and then they wouldn't hold the election. Election commission disqualify after 90 days, new one will come and he will declare election in 90 days

so they can drag it to august.

Not really how that works. A new would have to declare it nearly immediately. PMLN wouldn't be able to postpone, as it would risk the collapse of the government.
