Taipei and Beijing can create win-win solution in South China Sea

US tried to get rid of the Nationalist leader in Taiwan Chiang Kai Shek in the late 50s. But the CIA wasn't able to because to because he had a stronger control over the government. Nowadays, US won't be able to just get rid of Taiwanese government or S Korean government because of the development of these two countries politics and economies. US was able to get rid of Ngo because US put in there in the first place.

Are you kidding, the US can easily get rid of any South Korean president. Everyone is guilty in South Korean politics. All my Korean friends are disgusted by the corruption and nepotism in South Korea. There has been no South Korean president in the history of South Korea that wasn't at one point in their lives

1.) Exiled
2.) Overthrown in a coup
3.) Killed
4.) Caught for corruption
5.) Sentenced to death

I'll even make a nice chart:

List of Presidents of South Korea - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Syngman Rhee: Died in exile in Hawaii
Yu Bo Seong: Overthrown in a coup by Park Chung Hee
Park Chung Hee: Assassinated in a coup by a Korean CIA agent
Choi Kyu Hah: Overthrown in a coup by Chun Doo Hwan
Chun Doo Hwan: Sentenced to death
Roh Tae Woo: Sentenced to death
Kim Young Sam: Son was caught for corruption and he left office in disgrace after the collapse of Kia motors.
Kim Dae-jung: Kidnapped by KCIA in 1973, sentenced to death in 1979, exiled to the US in 1980 but returned to Korea in 1985.
Roh Moo Hyun: "Commit suicide" in 2009; believed to be an assassination
Lee Myun Bak: Lets wait 1 more year and find out whether he bites the dust or not.

Hehe, never ever Underestimate CIA's plot. See Russia dare to kill the betrayer in England and no one dare to punish Russia, so, you think dare CIA kill the disobey guy like assasined Mr. Presient Ngo DInh Diem ??

As I stated, US put Ngo in power. US removed him from power. US didn't put Chiang in power. He gained power himself. And so it was a lot more difficult to remove him. US ultimately failed to remove him.

please do not focus on US. although US will use some Southeast Asia countries to distract china, but we can see its purpose is only distract, China was in peace for more than 10 years, have a little war was not a bad thing for China. especial china has so many problem now.

Do remember that the governmetn of Taiwan is the direct result of indigenous Chinese political movement in 1911, not some Western transplant like the governments of Japan, South Korea, and South Vietnam. It was never as easily manipulated as ROK or South Vietnam.

Hehe, any enemy war ship inside our EEZ will be sunk by "Yakhont"

Btw: US won't let Taiwan war ship fight with VN, so don't try to drag Taiwan in , the're US chess, not your :smokin:

And any Yakhonts fired at it will be intercepted by its SAMs and CIWS. The Yakhont are not known to possess evasive technologies such as pop up approach and dodging trajectories.

If Taiwan was the the US chess piece, then I wonder why haven't they grabbed it from China yet. Answer: because it's not.

1. hehe, how to intercept Yakhont ??you never dare to test with it , so, don't try to Brag

2.if Taiwan is not US's chess, so why must US sent their carrier to "protect" and threaten CHina also ??why US have to waste their money to "protect" CHina island ?

1. Easily. China has faster more advanced missiles it tests against like the Sunburn. Oh did Russia not sell you those?

2. Taiwan has a far more advanced military than Vietnam and they need protection. Did you know they make their own supersonic missiles that are more advanced than the Yakhont?

1. CAn Sunburn fly at 10m above the sea face ??how to intercept when radar can not detect at that low-level ??

2.Hehe, Taiwan may has a far more advanced military than Vietnam , but they soldiers surely fight worse than VN, and they're too small to fight with VN also.btw: US will not allow Taiwan to fight with VN now, so forget about this idea, Taiwan is not your chess.:smokin:

1. If you want low profile missiles all China's ships have the C 803 which can go down to 5 m and have a terminal velocity of mach 2 unlike the Yakhonts mach 1.5 terminal speed.

2. Taiwans soldiers are better armed, trained, and far smarter than Vietnam's soldiers.

Taiwan doesn't need anyone's permission. They send armed frigates to patrol the South China Sea all by themselves. US also has far better relations with Taiwan than VN. US has sold Apaches, Frigates, Patriots, and even SM 2s to Taiwan. If Taiwan got in a war with Vietnam US would definitely support Taiwan.

What has US sold to Vietnam?

1. Let's see ... FL-3000N, CIWS, SAMs, decoys, rocket flares, etc. You obviously haven't realized that countries have defense mechanisms on their ships.

2. When did the US send their carrier to Taiwan? They sent their carrier to do joint exercises with the Republic of Korea. Get your facts right, buddy. The US are not wasting money. In fact they are earning money from all the weapons sales to Taiwan. It's a business thing.

Actually Taiwan's GDP (hence potential defense budget) is 4 times (400+ billions vs. 100 billions US$) that of Vietnam. So don't be deceived by its small geographic area. It's military strength is actually proportional to its GDP, not its geography.

Vietnam's air force and naval force are abysmal compared Taiwan's, i just don't see how you guys can defeat it in an open battle in the South China Sea.

The Vietnamese navy will have a better submarine force than ROCN once those 6 kilos were handed over from Russia. ROCN's submarine force is quite dismal actually compared to its surface branch. It's a problem that hasn't been addressed for a long time.

Taiwan controls the largest Island in South China Sea. The Taiping Island. I don't think Vietnam, China or Philippine would attack Taiwan because it would make any of this nations appear to be aggressors. China has no need of taking over this island. And if Vietnam or Philippine would attempt to take this island, Taiwan would have the support of both US and China.

1.Hehe, our war ships is small, and we will not use war ship to face with your, All use for ambush tactic, and see, you can not answer me how to intercept Yakhont when your radar can not detect the low-fight missile .

2.let see again US soldiers during VN war.
