Taiwan proves to be unwelcoming for many Hong Kong activists

Those good for nothing trouble makers are heros in China. Outside China they are regarded as garbages.

Are they actually heroes or made out to be heroes by anti-state narratives/Western media, etc.?

Many apt Cantonese slang terms came out of the 2019 unrest in Hong Kong. One of them was “condom”, meaning someone who has been used and then discarded. Many former Hong Kong activists who have moved to Taiwan have been describing themselves as such. Not a few feel abandoned by the island’s government and their own comrades in Hong Kong.

When someone needs you...

You will be treated like a king.

But once it's done, the real you will be revealed, which is garbage.

So much for “free Taiwan supporting free Hongkongers”, a slogan used by Tsai’s election campaign. Those people may now find that they have more freedom and an easier livelihood in a city they tried to tear apart not too long ago.

Democracy's delusional.

Neighbor's grass is always greener.

In reality, people live in democratic countries, some of them are homeless, many of them become slaves just for survival, and even the politicians who are promising to save them are also struggling.

Just look at how low human morale and desperation are in the capitalist world to know their hardship for survival.
