Taliban kept separate from other prisoners in Peshawar jail

The ideal strategy would have been to segregate these Talib by Tribe and to make sure that the Arab and Uzbeks are segregated from each other and from the Pakistani Talib.

Why??

Unless we do that, we cannot begin the process of deprogramming these persons -- and lets face a harsh fact, if we do not deprogram them, we must either keep them in jail for their natural lives or we should just be prepared for these people to do more damage when they get out of jail.

Yeah! Imagine the problem of the USA deprogramming such types. Guantanamo exists today because we have no practical answere to this dilemma. Could we ship them all to Pakistan for Pakistan to "deprogramme" (as it sees fit)? How about a service fee of $1 million each? $2 million?

TS (terribly sexy)

The most successful deprogramming has been done by the Iraqi and the Egyptian governments -- in Pakistan, unfortunately, they cannot tell the difference between the islamist and Islam - so yeah, they take your money, but they will need to buy the expertise elsewhere.

If these could be shipped to Egypt, might work out better, if deprogramming is what is desired.

It may turn out these are irredeemable, in which case a small measure of radioactive material in their meal over a two month period will set them up for dispatch in 8 months or so.

Ahhh! the Russian solution. Perhaps THAT is the answer! We know the Russians have very flexible scruples, extensive expertise, and a love of money. Maybe they would take our Guantanamo guests for a substantial, but reasonable, fee.
