Trump does not blame Pakistan for failure in Afghanistan: US envoy

They realized they can't sleep peacefully in Afghanistan, if Pakistan public force NWFP govt. to block supply of petrol to American army in Afghanistan.
Of course, and the American realized they have lost the war in Afghanistan.

Its only a matter of time the Afghan Taliban comes back into power in Afghanistan, because the Afghanistan PEOPLE WANT THAT!

Do they speak a different "English" in the US? or do the meanings change when translated to British "English"? or do they take us for fucking idiots?

If he didn't mean it, then he must issue an apology and correct the record in a publicly issued statement. We know this game of blaming us on open international forums and sucking up to us in private meetings very well.

United States (US) Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale assured National Security Adviser (NSA) Lt Gen (Retd) Nasser Khan Janjua on Thursday that President Donald Trump did not blame Pakistan for the failure of the War on Terror in Afghanistan.

As Hale and Janjua met today in Islamabad to discuss the Trump administration's new strategy on Afghanistan and South Asia, the US envoy claimed the perceived misconceptions it arose due to the press taking the policy apart piece by piece instead of interpreting it as a whole.

Trump, in his Aug 21 diatribe, denounced Pakistan for allegedly allowing terrorists to maintain safe havens inside its territory.

He also seemed to want India to take on a bigger role in Afghanistan, stoking fears in Islamabad that India would use this opportunity for stirring trouble in the bordering areas of Pakistan.

We are well over six months into Trump's presidency and one thing is quite clear: there's a vast gap between his rhetoric and his actions. His speech on his Afghanistan policy is one of them.

You don't need to be a geo-strategic genius to know that US needs Pakistan if it wants to stay in Afghanistan. Who else can US rely on in the region. Iran and Russia are sanctioned and no mood to cooperate, and China is on Pakistan's side, so who's left?

The question what is Pakistan's plan, presuming they even have one. Beat their chests like they did in the past only to sheepishly return to the US-fold? And how can this relationship work when US continues to support an Afghan that is openly hostile to Pakistan and plans are afoot to bring India into the mix there?

The ball is obviously in Pakistan's court, at this point. If its interests and security concerns are not being met by current or future policy, why continue to support it?

Still no confirmation of this story from U.S. official sources or non-Pakistani news media.

In a normal country the "free press" would at the very least have followed up the NSA's statement by finding someone to verify it. Not it Pakistan. Apparently flat-out calling to public account and contradicting a statement from Pakistan's national security establishment is forbidden to them.

On the U.S. side, it's long been clear to me that for decades a price Pakistan's government extracts from the U.S. government for its cooperation is that the U.S. must never contradict such statements. Why should the U.S. government care what lies the Pakistani government tells its people as long as the U.S. gets the cooperation it requires? So what if ordinary Pakistanis think it's the U.S. president and government that's dysfunctional, rather than themselves?

because, my little jew friend, the success of zionist and anglosaxon agenda in Afghanistan - or even the mere appearance of the avoidance of a defeat - depends on pakistani goodwill. pakistani hostility towards your rootless races is ultimately a jewish and angloamerican problem, not a pakistani problem. dehhh

Mr Ambassador and Mr President, you have FAR FAR more pressing problems to deal with at home than worry about Pakistan. The same reason why you took www.stormfront.org offline :azn: Please keep BLM/Antifa away from the Alt-right led by Richard Spencer. Otherwise Charlottesville will be nationwide 8-)

Did you get banned? How the hell do you get even banned? You a full on Pak nationalist should be toast of PDF.

On the U.S. side
Sol., seriously what is this buffoon Trump think he is doing? If 150,000 soldiers during the big surge in 2010 could not defeat Taliban you think 10,000 are going to do it today? Defies any commonsense?

Operation cleanup in aisle Afpak.
"He did not mean those words, you know how he is"

Trump actually had nothing on Pakistan or any idea, the whole thing was crafted by his aides and frankly islamophobic policy leadership.

As predicted, the resulting backlash has them reeling as they realize that they cannot get anything done in Afghanistan without Pakistan.[/
Guess the Americans realized that they cannot accomplish anything in Afghanistan without Pakistan's help!
Even worse, lose Taliban to Russia/Iran etc....

US startegy is not to let Taliban overrun Afganistan completely and stay there for freseable future. Interestingly, Russia is also counting on that..

A buffoon is amusing. Maybe you find Trump amusing but I don't.

If 150,000 soldiers during the big surge in 2010 could not defeat Taliban you think 10,000 are going to do it today -
You're changing the subject.

If one ignores the troll bait in this comment then all that remains is a restatement of what I said; there is nothing added to the conversation. Post reported.
it is the opposite, dirty jew! amazing how a dirty jew can flip an opponent's argument entirely and pretend those most vehemently opposed to you actually agreed with you? did you hone those skills of pretense and lies in the Auschwitz school of oratories and sophistry?
