TTP ends ceasefire with govt, orders its militants to ‘carry out attacks in entire country’

Shows you don't know $hit
No, it shows a fool like you actually buys their Islamic masala that they apply on top for consumption in Pakistan, the same way they do in Afghanistan meanwhile they are raping and massacring Hazaras and Tajiks.

I've spoken to people actually from the areas on both sides, they care mainly about their own Pashtun lands and areas. That's their primary concern, and the reason why majority of the militants are limited to Pashtuns and the locations of attacks limited to Pashtun areas.

Weren't things happy and peaceful before 1979?
Bajaur happened in 1960-1961

Can you expand on this. Is it a civil war, limited to KPK and between those that support Pakistan against those that oppose Pakistan as well have crossed over from Afghanistan? Or is there more to it then this?

If it’s not limited to KPK, is there a different dimension vis a via Pashtuns in Baluchistan and Afghans crossing plus the TTP, compared to what’s happening in KPK?

Is there a different situation between TTP activity around Quetta and those further north along the Kunar/Nangahar border areas?

It's essentially just the Durrand line issue. As you know KPK and Balochistan has been claimed by Afghanistan since Pakistan's inception. And they want to take that area back. This sentiment is deeply rooted in Afghan society, in the same manner how taking back Kashmir is a strong sentiment rooted in our society.

Even if you convince one Afghan leader to put the issue to rest, the next almost definitely will reignite it. So far Pakistan has been using temporary solutions, that's why the risk increases/decreases depending on Afghanistan's domestic situation. Nothing permanent has put it to rest completely.

There are some people who agree with this sentiment in KPK, but I think they are relatively small in number. Although the claim is restricted to those areas, they'll want to put as much pressure on Pakistan as possible so they'll attack the economic strongholds and major areas also, or just wherever possible. It will be Afghan militants + some locals who will side with them.

And they are in the best possible strategic position to do so due to their refugee population and easy border travel. India could just use the BLA plueprint but it could be much more successful.

Pretty much the same thing in the Pashtun areas of Balochistan. (Which are mainly the north)

They'll be less in number and up against a larger well equipped force so they'll try to work together. But usually they do have splinter groups that oppose each other sometimes and want to work independently, but the goal and objectives remain the same.

Pakistan essentially needs a contingency plan incase IEA goes full offensive against Pakistan in these regions by sending in militants and attempting to recruit large numbers for an offensive to try and capture these areas.

At the moment they are small in number, relatively weak, split up, and not as organised and equipped. All this could change if IEA combined with India throw their weight behind the offensive.

This is limited to Peshawar, you spread out from there and generally they'll choose PTM/IEA over Khan.

2022 KP local bodies election disagrees with you

So does 2018

That is pretty ignorant of you to say they would choose PTM over Khan if none of the Pashtun nationalist parties won a majority.

I'm surprised Pashtuns and Punjabis even live in the same country to begin with but you have an entire Pashtun dominated country next door as well? That's the most obvious security risk anyone could have identified considering ethnic chauvinism is the highest between them and they are the same exact people in every aspect. You can't compare it to Indian Punjabis and Pakistani Punjabis, because over history those groups have always been distinct due to religious influence, Muslims vs Sikhs/Hindus.

1. Why would you be surprised about that?
2. Afghanistan's antics in the beginning wasn't supported by any of the Pakistani Pashtuns though
3. lol Shabaz Sharif's daughter is married to a Punjabi Hindu.
No it didn't, because if this were true India would have no reason to continue it's proxy wars against Pakistan which it still does, and openly acknowledges it.

And most Pakistanis certainly wouldn't be happy with it, let's not lie here but rather be honest.

So far the Kashmir insurgency has been shut. And no Pakistanis are on the street for Kashmir right now. Same way none were on the street when Musharraf sold out Kashmir.
They added their own twist to it anyway, by calling it an army proxy.

PTI is now saying that.
I'm not going to engage in a discussion that disagrees with PTM being a Pashtun ethnonationalist party and TTP essentially a militant version. No point in that, it's quite obvious.

1. Pashtunistan flag is defunct. No organization uses it.
2. TTP regularly says they want shariah in all of Pakistan, so how is that Pashtun nationalist?

Pretty much the same thing in the Pashtun areas of Balochistan. (Which are mainly the north)

Pashtun areas of Balochistan has never engaged in an insurgency though.

So basically the FC will have to step up its intelligence efforts, hand over information to local police (made up of local Pashtuns) and empower the Majority of the people of KPK and Baluchistan to be able to limit the ability of these miscreants to operate and regenerate. A slow process, it doing everything legitimately, through the courts is the only way to maintain trust in the rule of law.

This is why rule of law and a fully documented economy as IK proposes is so important. Dry up any resources for the miscreants operating outside the law and reward those living normally in both KPK and Baluchistan, by spending tax money raised in there areas on better services for the people of those areas. More services into even the most remotest of areas will make people feel a better connection with the rest of the nation, and a stronger sense of belonging. Hence, why IK wants to build Namal university. Bringing back IK, will remove nearly all of wind out of sails of these miscreants.

Not rocket science, just better governance and management, while denying the miscreants from operating in any significant manner, especially through the use of local police forces, made up of preferably people from literally that exact area (except for people with personal vendettas with the miscreants, as not to make it a personal matter).

As for the border, I hope the army gets long range sound or microwave systems to attempt frighten away the miscreants. With all encounters filmed (with facial recognition software, to be used to deny a visa or find a way to arrest later on if necessary), a clear demonstration of escalation only when repeatedly provoked by the would be attackers, so that if the need arises to switch to lethal force, in the court of local public opinion, it will be perceived as justified.

I'm assuming that after the whole recent debacle with IK, they are becoming more PTM leaning with less belief in Khan. It's a growing sentiment, and I doubt PTI will have the same level of support without Imran Khan.

3. lol Shabaz Sharif's daughter is married to a Punjabi Hindu.
1. Because of sour relations between the two historically and racism. A lot of Pashtuns consider Punjabis their arch nemesis lmao
2. It's in reference to the future, or the possibility which always exists. (On a small level there has been support though)
3. I didn't know that and to be honest I'm shocked, I definitely don't think that's a norm.

Irrelevant because it's not an official stance. The same status-quo still exists. 2019 happened recently, and no one is truly up-to-date on Kashmiri insurgency news.

1. Pashtunistan flag is defunct. No organization uses it.
2. TTP regularly says they want shariah in all of Pakistan, so how is that Pashtun nationalist?
1. We both know what the flag implies, and him holding it obviously implies his support.

2. Why are most of their attacks limited to Pashtun areas and their demands limited to Pashtun areas (issues)? Even their fighters seem to be mostly Pashtun.

Just because they claim something it doesn't really mean much when their actions seem to imply something else.

Pashtun areas of Balochistan has never engaged in an insurgency though.
It was in reference to the potential high risk areas in the future.

Although there has been threats:

This is all fraud by TTP specially when TTP is a creation of Pakistan Army Generals. Interesting that these TTP frauds are breaking ceasefire just before Mir Jaffar Bajwa is going away in disgrace.

Depends on if they choose IEA or Pakistan

The elders that are stuck in their racist ways probably can’t be won over, but younger people are more likely to be convinced if they see tangible improvement in their lives. It may take decades and a generation or two, but Pakistan can’t afford to give up on its nation building efforts.

The key is not to compromise, and water down efforts at integration. Remember it was under IK that FATA was integrated into KPK. dedicated funding for these kinds of projects and outreach to the remotest of the remote communities need to be made, with opportunities and investments to help people catch up with the rest of the country, so they feel there is substance to them leaving their isolationist position and joining the Pakistani fabric. Roads to the nearest large cities inside KPK where industrial development can help educate and employ people is just one way a mutual respect can be affirmed.

Perhaps, I guess we'll see how this plays out. Although uncle wouldn't be that old really

Not like it is a surprise.

We all knew there will be active passive aggression against TTP by the Pakistan army.

This is part of this. Pakistan army, rightly, has to go and clear the border of TTP miscreants. There will be losses, and we will take a hit. But this is for the greater good. The khwariji dogs understand only one language.

Going forward, Pakistan and the Pakistan army should be prepared to take on Taliban in the long run. There is no hiding from that.

Agreed with @Bleek. TTP is basically an ethnofascist organization with Islam used as an extra flavor for motivation and recruitment. Same is the case with Afghan taliban too

Only way forward is putting a bullet in these terrorists and killing them continuously on both sides of the border

You're getting carried away. There was a time when they were leaking urine in their HQ due to the insurgency being so high that they were paying TTP off to not touch certain areas.

TTP is entirely a Pashtun nationalist militant wing, terrorist version of PTM
they weren't the generals who were looting the country they were the soldiers the pawns used by those generals!

Back to the homeland where you will find peace
ohhh so you are also of the opinion wardi mafia has made Pakiatan hell? for Pakistanis!
