What's new

Turkish Military is better than IDF

are you proud of that i mean you had 8 years war against Iraq and still suffered terrible losses.

I have a deep respect for the Turkish military and the Turkish people. Iran on the other hand earns the same respect. Despite sanctions, an aggressive American policy against it, decades old airforce and limited Russian supply, Iran remains the fist of the middle east. One of the few and practically the only country in the world which could show the Americans the middle finger and get away with it with NO outright support from any other nation. Iraq tried and see what happened to it. Turkey on the other hand can boast multitudes after getting all the support it needs from its brothers in the west and even Russian support. All that I'm saying is compare the position of the two countries before going on a full boast about one and mocking the other. Iran would have been militarily light years ahead if it received the same level of support which Turkey did.

Israel sold weapons to Iran included 150 M-40 antitank guns and 24,000 shells, spare parts for tank and aircraft engines, 106 mm, 130 mm, 203 mm and 175 mm shells and TOW missiles.

also Lance missiles, Copperhead shells and Hawk missile

also 45,000 Uzi submachine guns, anti-tank missile launchers, missiles, howitzers and aircraft replacement parts

Israel sold weapons to the Shah's government. What was the revolutionary government supposed to do with those weapons? Tell the Iranian military not to use them since they were kosher ? :D

Sure you can about 1971 ..

But why kargil? .. you guys got your arse whipped by NLI
Are you sure we didn't bury your guys on our side ? It's only Pakistani awaam which got fooled into believing that you somehow gained something in kargil. It was a total humiliation for Pakistan. You guys didn't even accept your dead bodies so we had to bury them. You suffered more casualties despite having the defenders advantage
images.jpeg

Besides it won’t change any thing you still can’t even contain Pakistan .. the last time you messed with Pakistan .. PAF gave you a thrashing you will never forget
Lol, Yesterday was a great day for PAF it seems. I don't remember a single attack on an IAF base which resulted in the loss of operational and reserved aircraft . Can't believe they climbed across through ladders. You can learn about base security from IAF, we didn't even loose a single aircraft in pathankot attack. PAF has lost aircraft in rebel attacks again and again

are you proud of that i mean you had 8 years war against Iraq and still suffered terrible losses.
Considering that the Iraqis were supported by the west, they did pretty well

Less than 1-2% of Pakistani weapons are Turkish bought, the US wouldn't even let us buy helicopters from Turkey due to the massive amount NATO technology that is in them. Turkey benefits heavily from NATO, a luxury other Muslim nations don't have.

No any NATO technology for the Turkish Army except T-129 Attack Helicopter

and Turkiye now develops its own T-629 Attack Helicopter with indigenous TS-1400 Turboshaft Engine

Turkish Army becomes full of Indigenous
from Tanks to Howitzers
from guided MLRS to Ballistic and Cruise Missiles
from anti-Tank Mİssiles to Kamikaze Drones
from Air Defense Systems to EW Systems
from Attack Helicopters to UCAVs

everything for the Turkish Army to replace American and German Weapons

Pakistan not even close .....

Wait, what? Just because there were a few weapon sharing, join development, and ship building does not mean that Turkey makes Pakistani weapons.

Also, Pakistan has a very good a nearly sufficient weapon industry. We also (against our will, and much like Turkey) gave valuable weapons to the Ukrainian in their war against Russia.

Pakistan benefit heavily from the British in some areas, the army attributes (much like how Turkey benefits from NATO) and of course, English.
Can't think of a single Pakistani or British weapon in Turkish army.

We even have certain items from countries we have poor relations with, like France, Sweden, Israel. Can't think of anything British anywhere in the armed forces.

We have lots of American and German stuff but no British.

maybe 20 years ago
but now Turkiye benefits heavily from iindigenous equipment

Israel , Iran , India only can dream about upcoming Turkish Aviation Industry

Yes, that's the entire point. That Turkey benefited heavily from NATO know how. These equipment above are heavily inspired with what Turkey learned from NATO.

The point is, we're transfering technology to Pakistan so obviously we're technologically ahead. We'll share more when we have more.

Nobody would say Pakistani Army is much beter than Turkish Army because it has nukes.

Let's find out. Come on Turkey, attack Israel :P
After seeing how much damage a ragtag terrorist organization like Hamas can do to Israel, and after seeing the big bad Israel transporting troops in M113s, they must be glad they don't share a border with Turkey. Not a country that they would want to have border disputes with for sure.

Greece is also a NATO Country but Greece can not develop even a Cruise Missile

on the other hand
There are over 850 Turkish military project , Thanks to NATO arms embargo on Turkiye

and Thanks to Turkish Defense Companies TAI , TEI , ASELSAN , HAVELSAN , ROKETSAN , METEKSAN , STM , BAYKAR and TUBITAK-SAGE and their great effort after 1975 American arms embargo on Turiye

Nobody gives critical technologies to muslim Country Turkiye

"In 2017, Turkey contracted to buy 52 Super Mushshak training aircraft. A year later, Ankara agreed to buy 1,000 PK-83 general purpose bombs."

that was fake newj busted by PTV brilliantly .. I still remember that seeing on Zee TV..

remember in the islamic prayer of dead there is no bowing down

facts are as follows

> a force of 300 Northern light infantry caused over indian 2000+ casulties

> Soldiers betted with each other how many indian they were going to wack

> IAF was ineffective as usual

> Operation was Vijay was a complete disaster

> Indian propaganda while effective on indian public scene the reality was Pakistan could not have more than 300 men on those heights ... any one who has done some mountain climbing knows this point. the thousands of soldiers dead as india claim were as solid as F-16 story.

> US pressured Pakistan to withdraw

> As one indian analyst accurately stated Pakistan got of cheaply

we had better soldiers

PS I didn't know Col Douglas was Pakistani?..

PS he was a tank commander in the battle of 73 easting which destroyed Iraqi Republican guard in few hours... something Iranian military could never do.. heck they lost to the Iraqis...

lol

seriously who loses to the Iraqis?...
Iraqi are very capable fighters but the country paid a horrible price for Saddam Hussein's miscalculations. Prior to his decision to fight a war with a massive US-led coalition in 1991, Iraq had demonstrated impressive capacity to fight a war with its much larger neighbor and created a more capable army from experience. Iraqi Republican Guards successfully defended Basra when the city was under siege from a large Iranian force in 1987. Iraqi Republican Guards also demonstrated the capacity to go on the offensive and capture lands in Operation Tawakalna ala Allah in 1988. When Iraqi army occupied Kuwait in 1990, no country was willing to challenge Iraq on its own but one.

Iraq was a headache for Israel as well, so much so that Israel attacked Iraqi nuclear infrastructure in 1981 (Operation Opera). Iraq was vulnerable in 1981 due to being at war with Iran but Iraq had developed a formidable military capability by 1988. Iraq used multiple ballistic missiles to attack Israel in 1991 in a marked shift from being on the receiving end of Israel in earlier years. But US-led coalition destroyed much of the Iraqi military capability in war and the country could not recover from this blow because US enforced No Fly Zones above Iraq to prevent its recovery.

If not for Saddam's miscalculations, Iraq was capable of challenging any power in the Middle East and might have reshaped regional geopolitics. But US prevented this development and Iran had the opportunity to step up in its place instead.

It has nothing to do with Turkey being muslim, everything to do with the way Turkey conducts itself.

Even The EU doesnt accept Turkiye , because Turkiye is a muslim Country

If Turkiye was a christian Country , Turkiye had already joined the EU long time ago
and Turkiye would get all NATO technologies from Europe

The UK did not allow Turkiye to join TEMPEST project
but Sweden and Italy joined TEMPEST project

USA and European Powers never would allow muslim Country to join NATO , if it weren't for Turkiye's very important geopolitical position

lol....

what are you are a boob tube?..

Ritter's documentary In Shifting Sands was released in 2001. It argued that Iraq did not possess weapons of mass destruction because of the UN weapons inspection programme, in 2001 he was charged as a sex offender?... for trying to have sex with a 16 year minor? by a undercover police officer?..

no shit.

really... you guys are that dumb?...

even if he was .. so what?..

look at his credentials and his spot on analysis...
Iraq did not possess nuclear weapons but Saddam had managed to preserve some of its chemical weapon(s) stockpiles that were recovered during occupation.

UN inspection teams could not retrace these stockpiles before. Scott Ritter did not knew any better.

true ...

but USA was a hyper power at that time.. with its forces trained to very high standards..and the tech they had blew ever one away..even the British and French had nothing to match what Americans had.

today as the col . accurately assess US isn't a hyper power , but now other nations Russia and China are fast catching up. 20+ years of endless stupid war has depleted US reputation, men and material.. no body is lining up to join the US military as before.

and yes I know what Biden said... but he had lost his marbles.

Which is why they have nukes in the first place. Israel will mostly likely prevail even without nukes if it fights on it's home turf. Turkish military neither has the size nor the experience to take them on.

It is better than turkey , atleast those guys have combat experience, what did turkey do to brag about apart from losing more jets in aerial combat again greece ? Why don't you reclaim greece and then attack Israel and india ?

Wrong statement,Nukes limit the scope of conventional war. It restricts the expansion of a conventional war at the strategic level

That only works when you're the defender. Not when you're the attacker.

Lol , talking about something which happened 100 years ago, and that you ended up getting smashed in the end. Indian cavalry smashed you in Haifa

Indian cavalry at Haifa? What you are saying is that Indian troops served under British empire defeated Ottoman troops during WWI. You perspective is that of a slave. Your post is the evidence that India claim British victory. If I’m an Indian, I would not be bragging about how well I serve my master. But since Brits created India, Indians owes its existence to the British. So this post personify that India is like a child bragging about achievements of its dad, the British. But today, Brits sees Australia, NZ and Canada or even the US as a child. But India has always been a slave.

WE cannot just take one man's word as gospel and dismiss everybody else.

nope

there were no MWD in 2001 which was the reason for invasion.. PERIOD..

UN officials who made similar comments were harassed 247
