First TCG Anadolu will not a drone carrier, second one TCGTrakya will be a drone carrier and the ship what will come after will be Aircraft Carrier. We are talking about 2030+. First TF2000 will be ready in 2027. Hurjet will be able to fly and land on TCG Trakya. Actually a light AC.

Cenk-S radar will have a 500km max range, a AESA radar and ther will be for now 4 TF2000 build. If we want a AC then the amount of ship will double. Ther are serious article about GEZGIN going around. Next IDEF23 will be a real big IDEF.

Edit: 8 TF-2000

This missile looks closer a Harpoon. A ToT ?

:) No, not ToT.

Our folks opened and examined the old Harpoon and roughly copied it, adding some modern equipment.

The hardest parts were seeker and engine. Part seeker was relatively easy as we were very experienced with radar. We have been huge investing in radar and thermal sensors for many many years. We can design and manufacture products without copying.

On the other hand, we almost failed on part engine. Kale's engineers learned the hard way that it was not possible to copy the aero engine directly. ( The engine they copied and made broke itself! LOL ) The process they said they would do in 2 years took 10 years... With the guidance of some experts, they were finally able to finish the engine by designing it themselves.

In summary, the most important parts seeker and engine are not copies. But the overall architecture of the missile is a Harpoon replica, that's right. This was necessary to be able to use the Harpoon canisters on ships.

French had some difficulties with the TRI tactical small engine also.

For this very reason, I find the hopes of some of my citizens that an engine in the scale of the GE F110 will be designed and produced in a short time, so naive. :)

While such difficulties arise even in a small engine, a reliable engine in the top league of aviation engines cannot be designed and produced in a short time.

It takes a lot of experience, investment and time. Just like we do with radar and thermal sensors...

A fighter engine is one of the most complicated object to study, fine tune and buit so far.
A tactical engine has a very limited span life. 10 minutes. A regular speed and altitude class.
A fighter engine has to run from -50° to +50° external temperature, has to be able to go from idle to full reheat in the less time possible, from 0 to 18000 meters, have some thousands hours span life, be the lighter possible, able to cope with 9G.
It's another kind of effort. See how China spent time and spent money to just be able to make a copy of russian 30 years old engines.
It's not impossible, it's just highly difficult. Never possible before 2030 as some said.

I agree. There are 2 possible ways:

a) Experience will be accumulated, big investment will be made, and patiently awaited.

or

b) A miraculous design will be discovered and things will get easier.

Since turbine engine technology is an old and mature technology, option (b) has a very small probability.
