On December 30 last year, a night skier saw two snow leopards at the Jiangjun Mountain Ski Resort in Altay, Xinjiang.

Mauretibek Mulati, the site manager of the ski resort, and his colleagues. At 10:00 p.m. on December 30, after they learned from a night skier that a snow leopard appeared on the Golden Light Road in the ski resort, they drove a snowmobile to inspect it.

Two hours later, they found a snow leopard walking back and forth. " I took pictures of the snow leopard activities with my mobile phone. " said Mauretibek Mulati

On the evening of the 31st, they stepped up their patrols, and the staff photographed one of the snow leopards again. At that time, the distance between the two sides was about 3 to 5 meters.

Jiangjun mountain Ski Resort issued a statement that the snow leopards roaming in and around the resort are being closely watched and monitored to ensure skiers safety.

Jiangjun Mountain skiing resort which multiple snow leopards frequently visited recently.
( The remote resort sits next to the Chinese, Kazakhstan and Mongolian border, the same leopards also raided nearby PLA border guard outposts multiple times and stole several chicken from PLA)

PLA barracks seem to become the favorite ground for wild animals to get food..

Brown bears attacked Chinese PLA's border outposts in Tibet

60% — 70% snow leopards in the world live in China, and their population in China are experiencing explosive growth, many of them live close to cities, Urumqi has the world highest concentration of snow leopards, many Chinese cities see snow leopards wandering into the city centers, but we've never heard any snow leopards hurting people, they behave very differently from other big cats, posing zero threat to humans.

In peak tourist season, roads in Tibet are often overwhelmed by tourists which cause huge traffic jams, Tibetan brown bears would take this opportunity to come down to the roads to solicit food.

Jiangjun mountain ski resort just issued a new notice to all the skiers, if encountering a snow leopard in the resort, don't panic, no crowd gathering and rubbernecking, don't try to chase snow leopards away, call the resort management office immediately.

Do not feed the bears! This was a big issue in Yellowstone in the 70s. Bears associate humans with food and will become a big problem. Hundreds of bears had to be put down.

They always steal herders' sheep and cows, the policy for this is that the herders need to collect vidoe and picture evidence and upload them to the local government designated wild life protection bureau site and the government reimburses the herders for their loss.

The three snow leopards killed and injured 39 sheep and 4 calves in total. compensation for the herdsmen lost is 86,000 yuan ( $12,835 ), including 2,000 yuan ($300) for the calves.

Sounds scary.

Who don't you proactively hunt and kill them?

Looks very bad.

You people need to be more proactive to control this menace.

A dead snow leopard is a good snow leopard.

No this specific species is not good as dead.
Snow leopards are smallest among Panthera genus. Adults weigh between 35 to 40 kg and rarely exceed 55 kgs. They do not attack humans. At least there is no such documented record. They are shy and normally live beyond human habitats. It's human who encroach in their habitat. They only some time steal/kill live stock and poultry but do not go after human beings.
