What's new

UK has Procured Chinese AKs to Train Ukrainian Troops

Czechs and Romanians don't use Type 56. They had their own versions.
The shooting accuracy of type 56 is not good, but it is simple to maintain, convenient to use, and can withstand harsh environments.

This kind of gun is not suitable for professional soldiers, but it is very suitable for militiamen and guerrillas.

It's like the scout in the US. They give them some lecture or physical training during school, usually in some show and tell form.

Probably the scout in the US spend more time in the range than these so called "Military Training" in China.
The spend 90% of their time marching to be future member of PLA (Parade Line Army) as @gambit puts it.

Dude, I went thru all these.

I can tell you no amount of Military Training whether or not they are in China or US cultivate high-quality character.

If you want to be a high-quality character, you go learn poetry or literature or play sport, not doing things like firing guns and learn how to kill people.
Poets do not necessarily possess noble character. Soldiers are not necessarily bastards. Guns can kill people, but they can also save people. Without good character, poetry can also kill people.

China provides military education and training to all students. Obviously, its purpose is not to cultivate killing machines. Because China cannot need so many soldiers, which is a lack of economic benefits. If it is to cultivate killing machines, it should only select some people for professional training, just like the United States. This is the difference between China and the United States. China aims to cultivate students' courage and perseverance, while the United States aims to cultivate killing machines.

You do know Scout is multiple years program, right? and people are in the scout for usually 10 to 15 years.....And you don't just do shooting, you also do wilderness survival, orientational training, mountaineering, first aid, other tactical training (Such as parade, drill, self defence and etc) . All those are considered paramilitary training.

Sure, you can go into the scout and do knitting and nothing else, no one is stopping you from that, but you can get the whole program if you want, and most people who are into JROTC or ROTC would do the whole thing anyway.

Lets not talk about boy scouts as we know what they were trained for:-
Judge Laurie Selber Silverstein of the US Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, in a long-awaited opinion released July 29, approved the bulk of the Boy Scouts' intricate reorganization plan and $2.7 billion settlement with 82,000 adults who allege they were sexually abused in their youth as scouts.

I will repeat what you said: Only those who are extremely lacking in common sense will believe what you say.

If you think Military Education is done on anything other than prepare a person to kill, then you are either really naive or stupid to believe in the thing that they said.

Do tell me what you can do with the knowledge you learn from operate military machine for anything other than killing? lol, there are a lot of ways for people to learn courage and perseverance, military education is not one of them, military education is an indoctrination of dehumanisation where you don't see a man as a man, you see it as a target you need to get over with.

Again, if you believe otherwise, then you are too naive to even live in this world

What's that have to do with anything??

Each military training usually lasts from one week to one month. Does it take 720 hours for American scouts to hit targets?
Don't forget countless militias who train regularly

Female militia from Chinese coastal villages protecting China's coastlines

Exactly. They can give it to thousands of militia and territorial defence and have a support army ready. It's a weapon that has performed well in dozens and dozens of conflicts.
