Why Indian music is so much popular across the world

For the speakers of that particular language the music in that language will be particularly appealing because you get the lyrics. I don't understand much Hindi, so I don't listen to many Hindi songs. Popularity is subjective, and our Music is certainly not as popular as Korean K-pop neither are our movies. Sure there are few exceptions.

Indian songs are popular(among Indians) as India diaspora is the biggest in the word...different countries like US, UK, Canada, middle east have millions upon millions of Indians as emigrants.

It is not that Indian songs are popular among English speaking natives of US, Canada, German, French and Italians...

It is famous among Urdu/Punjabi speaking Pakistanis, but that is waning and Bollywood is now not that watched in Pakistan due to various reasons.

BTW check the Pakistanis singers in India and their contribution, RFK has about 800 million views for "Zaroori Tha'...T-series has removed that song since then.

Dil dia Gallan...by Atif Aslam has bout 650 million views....many more.

Point is, a song is listened by anyone dozens and hundreds of times, so numbers of views are misleading if one see it as the number of viewers, they aren't.

Agreed! Pakistani's have contributed in Indian field industry.

But at the same time I find failure of Pakistan film industry because many Pakistani talented singers and other people were/is not recognized by Pak film industry. They do not get what they suppose to get.

history of Atif Aslam and many other singers/music band I know. They recognized once they get success in indian field industry. It is sad but a hard fact actually.

Perhaps along with Bollywood hindi music,,,it's better to promote music which can be understood by most people around the world,,, n not just the hindi/urdu speaking subcontinent.
