Winter storm disrupts travel and causes power blackouts in Texas

A massive winter snow storm has hit the state of Texas, bringing with it heavy snow and ice.
It's caused widespread travel chaos and left thousands without power.

The state's governor, Greg Abbot, said the state is facing one of the most significant icing events in decades.

Do you live in Texas ? I absolutely hate snow. Just cleaned my drive way after yet another storm. I just picked up my son from Buffalo and the snow there made drive so miserable .

Dumbass libertarian/conservative utopia of Texas doesn't have the public infrastructure to handle climate change, because obviously its all commie socialist scam to do anything in common person's interest.

I have no idea what you are babbling about. I live in Texas and have lived in DFW area since 1979 and we not had a problem with the grid like we did last year. That was fixed. The outages you hear about are from ice taking down power lines in the rural areas. I had zero outages, even though I installed a generator for my house. As far as the Commie Socialist crap, keep in mind Texas is a conservative State and will remain so for the near future

My relatives live in Dallas area, and I have first hand knowledge about the area.
