There are a lot of theories circulating in Islamabad and the social media. But there are a few things that are certain.

1) No form of election will be held on May 14th no matter what the SC says.

2)Both the Govt and PTI are playing with each other and a settlement among them seems remote at the moment.

3)Govt needs more time to soothe the enraged public as its current dismal performance will land it in an electoral defeat.

4)PTI wants to wrap it up much before September as it may not find a soft corner in the judiciary later.

5)PTI will still be the largest group if elections are held in October 2023 but may find many obstacles to form a Govt.

The Govt circles believe by September CJP Bandial and President Alvi will retire and they can play with the emergency tools to extend their tenure.

Whatever the case this never-ending GAMES OF THRONE has given no benefit to the public. In Pakistan, anything can happen at any time in the end it may be a third party reaping the FRUITS of power as per their grand strategy!

Even though Alvi is slated to retire, as per constitution, he can continue indefinitely until the electorate is complete in the center and all provinces at which time a new President can be elected.

CJP will retire and will be replaced by Issa.........how I am looking forward to his tenue.

He can be asked to go, there is no provision in the constitution for an indefinite stay unless the federal govt wants him to stay. He cannot sign any document sent by the govt. Maybe with the intervention of Bhai log the Chairman Senate may be installed!

There's absolutely no need. All of the politicians are already in government in one way or another.

And who is Chairman senate and his financial background and beneficials of mining industry ....a corruption is soooooooooooooooooooooooo deep down in Pakistan, every roadside stone has its own story ....................and front man of ... election will be held when establishment give green light and chessboard has correct players according to the plan.

Just dissolve all state institutions and give allegiance to the US flag.

If the term of the Pakistani President expires and there is an incomplete electoral college, it would depend on the specific circumstances at the time. However, generally speaking, the following could happen:

  1. If the electoral college is incomplete, the Election Commission of Pakistan may postpone the election until the college is complete.
  2. If the election cannot be postponed and the electoral college is still incomplete, the incumbent president may continue to serve until a new president is elected.
  3. In case the president dies, resigns, or is impeached before the end of their term and there is an incomplete electoral college, the speaker of the National Assembly will act as the president until a new president is elected.
It is important to note that the specific rules and procedures for such situations are defined in the Constitution of Pakistan, and any decision regarding the same would be made in accordance with the constitutional provisions and legal framework.

Establishment won't allow elections until they have eliminated Imran Khan.
They will keep pushing the elections further until they either succeed in breaking
PTI or eliminating IK.

I think its Chairman senate who fills in for President. NA speaker fills in as acting prime minister.
