J-10C: Soft loan/credit from China
Su-35: If you have the money since Russia doesn't offer freebies
EFT: If you have more money and the diplomatic clout to deal with multiple countries if something goes wrong in times of need

Pakistan Airforce Thinktabks are highly incompetent. They failed to choose just 1 aircraft from past 3 decades. From past 1 decade, PAF officialls making fool our public. JF17 is a piece of shit in front of Mig29, SU30, Rafale or even Mirage 2000 quite frankly. These ****** literally compromised our national security in next 10 years if they continue busy in marketing of that piece of shit which no one interested to buy and the top of it that JF17 also has limit uou cant make JF like raptor. The aircraft is fucking single engine low weight fighterjet which is no where to stand again any 4/4.5 fighter. Ye **** JF17 hamara pride hey pride karnay ka manjan beech rahay haib just to hide their incompetency. They failed to evaluate Pakistan’s airforce requirement. Jab economy sahi b the tab b they were busy in testing EU, Rafale and even back in 80s F15.
Nore more JF17BS manjan plzz....

IMHO, we are relying too much on JF-17 Block III, lets be realistic, it will be no match against Rafales. JF-17 is a liteweight aircraft, Rafales is the medium weight. Rafales has more hard points and long range BVR missiles. I think PAF missed the trick, They should have gone for the J-10C for the stop gap. I even doubt J-10C are at par with Rafales.
we all know that F-16 Block 70/72 is at par with Rafale, but we dont have any of those. I am not talking about men behind machine, i am talking about machine vs machine. sure 36 numbers arent that big, but those 36 units can turn the table in air combat. dont forget that S-400 is also coming. we have no answer for it. quoting 27th Feb incident all the time, wont save us from future short comings. we should never underestimate our adversary. thats what indians do. we shouldnt do it, instead find the solution for it . our AZM project is still on paper. it will take some good 15+ years to complete. our current F-16 fleets going to retire in 10 to 12 years. so wheres the stop gap ? its a serious issue. i am sure PAF knows about it. but we didnt see anything solid coming out from PAF. i am not going into financial issues becoz, when we go for battle or war, we should be prepared for it, no matter whats the cost. JF-17 and Rafales are like Apples and Oranges. our only answer and option is F-16 Block 70/72.
senior members on PDF can share some thoughts on this topic.
Of course a single JF-17 B3 will be no match against Rafaels. But we can throw B3 in larger quantities and will also back them with assets like AWACS and EW Assets. JF-17 B3 will also have PL-15 and an EW suite.
Combine all these factors and you have a potent platform to counter Rafael.

Sir, these are genuine concerns, as few memebers mention the JF-17 is not meant for Rafales, thn what we have in our inventory ? we arent even looking for new Aircraft. our all focus is on JF-17 Block III , which we dont even know what it will be.

I have complete faith in PAF and its leadership. They are the most competent and professional in all 3 services and certainly far more competent than IAF

I am definite that they have plans and contingencies to counter any threat presented by the enemy

Everyone keeps talking about the s400 system. Does anyone know if its ever worked in real combat? We know the s300 has done nothing in Syria. Just interested

There is some truth to it. I hope Bajwa and PM IK arrange the newer F-16s as soon as possible.
US is an unreliable partner, much as we want their technology the risks outweigh the gains. We need to consider Chinese or Russian 5th Gens with TOT. Even better would be to get 5/6th gen AMRAAMs to deal with the Rafales from US./Russia or China or produce them indigenously.

You are too brainwashed by the Indian media. Pakistani military is not wearing bangles.

How can you say if it is not a match and then say this in the very next post?

I didn't realize the number of engines determine which aircraft would come on top. Why did the USAF build the F-16 instead of F-15s and F-18s only!!??
And all those poor suckers that bought the single engine pathetic F-16 by the hundreds.

Hold your horses dude there is no 'engine' word in my post!!!!!!

i think double engine jet is useful when you have to carryout strikes at extended and far locations as they carry high payload of weapons and have greater range, only refueling is needed but single engine jets have limitations for carrying payloads and require to land back on airbases for weapon reloading more frequently

Let block-III come out with it's integration with other platforms, and then decide what PAF should do next to counter Rafale.
