Chairman Mao - Why do Chinese people worship this MURDERER?

Chinese people do not "worship" Mao. It is true that during the Cultural Revolution he was elevated to cult like status but after his death, he is no longer worshipped. As to why he is still relatively popular in China despite all his undoings, you have to understand he transformed China to a great power status not seen since the days of the early Qing Dynasty (e.g. acquisition of nuclear weapons, Korean War, etc ...), which means a lot for people who've suffered extensively under foreign expansionism. The same can be said about Stalin vis-a-vis Russia. This is why despite tens of millions of deaths, a disastrous "Cultural Revolution", and a large cult-of-personality in his later years, Mao is still somewhat of a revered figure in modern China.

Not just China. Mao gives inspiration to the poor and downtrodden people around world. In India, in Peru, in Philippines, in Nepal etc. He is more alive today than any Western leader.

Supporters of Nepal communist party Maoist hold portraits of Chinese revolutionary leader Mao Zedong as they take out a rally.

Communism is sort of a religion. They have a holy books, Das Kapital and Communist manifesto, Marx and Engels are the gods. Then comes great leaders or the demi gods Lenin, Stalin etc... they get to be mummified after they're dead.

Mao is Chinese communist god. It's freaky to see a dead man preserved like this.

Next in line to be preserved like this will Xi dada.:enjoy:

Yet communism religion successfully turned two poor countries into great powers. Russia and China. And small communism countries like N.Korea, Cuba, Vietnam kicked US ***. Hinduism and Islam never helped any country to acheive that.

Without Mao, China is no different than India. Indians always say they will catch up with China. Not possible unless they have their own Mao.

China was civilized, but kept unmodernized by the Qing Dynasty. For instance, China invented gunpowder, and yet had the worst military vs the Western powers during the Qing Dynasty. They were barbarian hordes occupying civilized China. When the Qing were removed and technology allow to be re-imported, both nationalists and communists defended against one of the toughest militaries in Imperial Japan. Mao did advance China, but you need high IQ people to rise so fast, China focuses/ed on civilization and ethnics and development for centuries. Raising IQ levels, then they put that into a national effect and national spirit to be top in the world. Simply bringing Mao to India would not be a success.

worship is a pretty strong word. more like respect. he truly is worthy of respect for founding modern china even though his policies are awful.

Mao made below contributions for China's progress:
1, Changed social structure. He broke all social classes. After Mao, all Chinese are equal. No lord or servant anymore. Women got same rights as men. In China, driver can eat at the same table with his boss. This can't be seen in most countries.
2, Nationalized capital and land. Paved way for future industrialization and building infrastructure.
3, Built modern education system and medical system. Before Mao, 90% Chinese were illiterate. Life expectancy was 39.
4, Successfully finished industrialization.
5, Rebuilt Chinese confidence. Before Mao, China was a weak, incapable East Asian sick man. After Mao, China was a tough, capable power.

Look at the West, they have social classes of the super rich and poor and struggling middle class. I never ate with my boss at work, they have their top places, and I ate with the workers.

What you described as pre-Mao is how the West operates. Except Literacy and life expectancy.

There is no equality in the West, only the illusion of equality.

You did not need Mao to advance, education and health care were needed. Mao organized China to work together to build a great prosperous China.

Islam never helped any country to acheive that.

You never heard of Mughals who amassed 25% of the world's wealth in Southwest/South Asia?

How about Ottoman Empire which rules over vast stretches of Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Caucasus?

Andalusia, North African Berber and Arabs who ruled Spain and were seen as the most advanced European nation at the time?

Empires of the Altın Orda (Golden Horde) which ruled over Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia.

Emir Timur Lang's empire which rivaled his Mongol predecessors.

The wealthy empire of Mansa Musa in Mali, who alone destabilized the Egyptian economy with his gifts of gold on the way to Hajj.

We can even go to the beginning, the empire of Prophet Muhammad SAWS and the four Khulafah which fought and defeated the two largest empires at the same time, Rome (Byzantium) and Persia, conquered Egypt, and built the first equitable, sustainable, modern society the world had seen.

Not a single country in the world is rich or powerful because of Communism.
It was developed as a coffee club idea for poor and lazy people to loot and plunder wealth of the rich.

Russia is anything but Communist, now they hate anything that's communist. Chinese copied the western idea of communism and capitalism and mixed them together, that's why they are somewhat successful and yet dissent keeps growing.

Religion don't make a country rich, it's the people and it's mentality together with availability of resources.

Mughals were INVADERS, their job was to loot, plunder and amass wealth. They either fought among themselves or with some other kingdom
