You don't have an idea. I even think that given how large Pakistan's population is we have more people doing drugs and having sex outside marriage than entire population of UK itself. Specially in cities like Islamabad, Lahore, Karachi even Iblis himself would be ashamed to see our Colleges and Universities lol.
And I say this as a student myself.
immorality in Pakistan is not as bad as immorality in Western countries though.
Are you serious or just taking a piss here? English speaking is a measure of education for you and that too in India? The whole world laughs at Indians speaking English.
You are right that most countries do things in their language, like the Chinese and Japanese.

the first generation and second generation of Expats are truly patriotic and they go through a lot pain and sufferings during abroad life

their successors are meat bags Na teen mey na Tera mey

Each Pakistan MUST atleast once in life experience living abroad and feel the hate and prejudice of foreigners
Exactly, when you leave Pakistan then people see the harsh reality of life.
Its not all sugar and roses when people leave Pakistan for better opportunities.

It's none of our business, if someone wants to live abroad it doesnt concern us, they are the best judges for how they want to live their lives and how their children live.

I once had an Indian classmate in High School. He too looked down upon those Indians who immigrated to the West.
He still couldn't get it. Why would they trade living in India for living in the West, when arguably minorities are treated like 2nd class citizens.

but then minorities are treated like 2nd class citizens everywhere.

What's ironic is that it's the same people who would jump ship at the first opportunity. I know the type, trust me. No one should be judged based off how or where they want to live.

It was just the first thing that came to mind, search for relevant statistics in the education field, exam results, etc, and compare Pakistan and India. My point will likely be proven.

But for the English thing:

India is a predominantly Hindi speaking country, they have an active curriculum for learning English, with some cultural influence. It is mainly taught. But they end up speaking and conversing very fluently in English.

Whereas Pakistanis I've observed aren't at that same level, which could indicate a difference in quality or maybe less emphasis on it.
You are again using English as a benchmark for education. If Pakistanis don't speak good English then its a good thing. Learning English does not show quality education. English should be banned in early education and should be optional in higher education.

This mindset of yours is a result of slave mentality that is deeply ingrained into your mind. This causes the intellectually crippled state of mind which has led to this education system that we cannot figure out how to make it work for us.

When you say Indians are fluent in English, what it is good for?

I guess knowing English is good when going to the West for higher education.
The Urdu schools are not good, brother.

English is the most important foreign language to learn in our times.

How many Pakistanis get higher education in English speaking countries compared to cleaners, taxi drivers, scammers going there? And why is learning a language for higher education for a few people takes priority over lower education, specially in one of the most illiterate countries in the world?

How about Pakistanis going to Germany, Denmark, Sweden etc, how are they able to settle there? Should we start teaching those languages too?

This is exactly the kind of slave mentality I am trying to talk about. We have never known an education system of our own and have simply borrowed the concept of schooling from goras which they designed to keep us their servants.

There are many countries who stick to their languages and they do much better in every field compared to Pakistanis. Two examples are Iran and Turkey.

You are right. We should be slaves to nobody.

Improving the education system in Pakistan will take time.

Hi,

It is a "damned if you do it and damned if you don't" type of situation.

Hi,

Those nations have one mother tongue primarily. Their have been independent for centuries---having one primary language---literature, reading material etc.

Urdu is not my mother tongue.

English was as much my mother tongue as urdu was

Pakistan was way ahead of both these countries technically.

Iran is way way behind in technology even though it sells a lots of oil.

They did not have a Benazir / Zardari and Nawz team to rule them.

We became a nuc produing power during the late 60's. Ouir scientists were world class scientists being hired in any nuc facility in the wolrd all over.

We were way decades ahead of Turkey and century ahead of Iran in the late 60's----why---because of the lingua franca ENGLISH.

Knowing english put us ahead of any other nation in the world---.

But the loss that we see now is due to our administration failures and not of english.

Mastan bhai, you are right.

PPP and PMLN goons were the worst things that happened to Pakistan.

It is time to disband those political parties. In fact having a one party system like China is better than the deomcrazy we have now.

I like the fact I could be at the tip of the pyramid in Pakistan as opposed to being an irrelevant minority with a questionable reputation.

The issue is the living standards are so below par. When you go into street view on google maps it just looks diabolical. There is no consistency in construction and cleanliness. It goes from average to really bad after 30 second scroll either way.

Yes we are behind the West technologically. Also our peoples are not well educated in the Academic disciplines.

Thats part of the problem.

If Pakistan reached the same standard of living as that of Turkey or South Korea, most Pakistanis would return home.

In a heartbeat. It doesn't have to be New York, just a decent standard.

I also appreciate the modesty in Pakistani culture, when you meet Brit Pakistani women here and they have a lay count of over 20, it makes you want to 🤮

The prospects of your children growing up without racism, feeling inferior and insecure is priceless.
