Indian Brahmos missle crashes in Mian Channo

Just watched the ISPR presser again, it's fairly clear that Army / Air Force have chalked this up as a test / trial gone awry, without further explanation and fairly adamant that the missile was unarmed. DG ISPR also specifically mentioned to not conflate this incident with the one on Feb 26th.

There's nothing left of the missile, other than a burnt booster, this incident is not comparable to complete tomahawks landing in Balochistan in the 90s.

1) Cruise missiles don't wear from its path just like that. So, technical glitch is out of question. No midway destruction by controllers indicates that.
They do, all the time.

this thing remained more then 3 minutes in our airspace and crashed on his own and we did nothing. wt.., no body in that press conference asked about it neither DGISPR explained why our air defense didnt shot it down. just monitoring is not what army has to do. shot that thing down as soon it enters pakistani air space. again lethargic behavior.
Listen carefully and you will hear him explain why it wasn't shot down

It is already 67 pages.

It is cruising like a missile 8-)

Interestingly there is no news about this in Indian media. I could find only one in Indian Express and even that is reported as a 'Pakistani claim'.

Hmmm...

Just gonna say my pov on this matter.
1) Ispr was vague about many things. Not naming the projectile or clearing it to be missile or drone. Or was it shot down or not.
2) Now why would India do this?
So, from the pictures here it was brahmos and it also collaborate that it was moving at supersonic speed.
Secondly many fellows here especially @Salza are of view that it was not shoot down or where was our AD. Ispr has said it engaged the missile with standard SOPs and has provided the tracking data so our radars detected it even in Indian territory.
Now, why didnt we shoot it down? Ispr has deliberately not said anything about it shooting down but people from the area said they heard TWO explosions. One can guess that Pakistan didnt want to disclose its capabilities because of military hypersecrecy policies.
Second why would India do this. Two possibilities either failed test or to check our AD. Anybody with mechanical or electrical eng knowledge who has know how of control systems would know that missile stabilization is a one of the most imp task. So if it was a failed test missile guidance system would not have been able to stabilize it to be in air and it should have crashed imediately. The way it followed its trajectory seems to me that it was delibrate.
Now our response can and will only be diplomatic as much as i want our military to react in similar manner we simply cannot as 1. it would escalate and with current global crisis we would seem to be aggressor and 2. we are not 100% sure that it was deliberate. What we can do is study the material which can withstand supersonic speed, engine design etc.

So there is still no response from India yet.
Are they pretending that nothing happens? :coffee::coffee:

What's your fetish with shooting the Brahmos? DGISPR clearly mentioned, it was not shot down, It fell down on its own
Listen from 4:05, even the interior minister is saying that it was a missile (so not a drone or a jet) and it was shot down (giraya giya hay):

From the information available, my idea is that it is Indian test/trial missile, gone astray, because of some technical fault.

Yes that seems to be the most likely explanation. Nothing else makes sense currently. All the more reason we will see complete silence on this

so this is what we know this far:
guaranteed that it was a brahmos, pics posted by are undeniable.

it deliberately followed close to a well known air corridor used by domestic and intl flights, perhaps thinking that Pakistan won't risk shooting an airliner down by mistake.

it was flying at at least mach 3 when it died.

ISPR has not claimed that it was shot down, but has said that it crashed and was unarmed. both are frankly very unbelievable.

well known media persons have said that it was shot down. interior minister has said that it was shot down.

india is mum, absolutely quiet about this debacle of theirs thus far, they weren't expecting an interception oh sorry, a crash. :enjoy:
