What's new

War started to reclaim Pakistan

What about China? It may not be a democracy but it is stable despite large population.
China has never been a democratic country, ruled by kings and they are One nation. not clans and tribes and different cultures. Han is the one and majority power and one language all over China

I’m gonna be brutally honest, imran khan isn’t worth dying over. Yes Pakistan is in need of a revolution but imran khan won’t bring change. Imran khan has his opportunity and failed. He tried using the same system to his advantage until the system stung him. He surrounded himself with the same filth and tried to play games with the establishment in his favour. But establishment was playing chess while imran khan was players checkers. Yes he was good with his economic development but he made many other blunders like his government passing lgbtq bill, brutal crackdown against religious jamaats, and heavy crackdown on Kashmiri mujahideen groups. He’s surrounded by people who switch up parties every few years and are on international agencies payroll. He’s pacifist approach to everything ruins everything and overshadows his good. He did have a bit of arrogance and ego but that isn’t much of an issue. Btw this doesn’t mean I support pdm or establishment. I still think the only way Pakistan can be saved is a revolution and putting these dollarkhor generals and politicians in place. I just don’t think imran khan is a guy who can’t bring any real change. I would protest for IK’s release etc but I wouldn’t endanger my life for someone like Khan. Because suppose people did fight and die and put imran khan back in power. What will he do? He wants to play within the system. He’s not a revolutionary. He gets his strength from within the system and got stung when he tested the systems boundaries. There’s no point in people fighting for someone who wants to keep the same system. If the system is rotten than even the best of the best leaders will be destroyed by it.

Unsure why India is being mentioned , considering how our Army is busy Not Allowing CIvilian Government

Problem is Army 100%

1971 - Army did not accept elections where Mujib Ur Rehman won 100% East Pakistan caused
country to break

I always kept hearing on this forum that Bhutto opposed the hand over of power to East Pakistanis. There is some truth to that.

@Meengla

The one reason Khan himself (a member of the elite of the elite, Aitchison educated) is needed is because he appeals to the masses, obviously his party but also the elite, especially the unproductive elite. It’s all three of these groups that need to accept the brutal capitalism you mentioned in an earlier thread, is needed and is coming down the pike, to save the economy.

No one wants to admit they are part of the problem. Everyone thinks their aspirations are small and harmless in the grand scheme of things and in the balance legitimate.

However he came to power, we need to end this crisis in a constructive and comprehensive way, where the country is ready to move past this in a healthy manner. His election and removal and the aftermath is an eye opening for the rest of us, that haven’t been effected in the other parts of the country or in the diaspora.

I don’t fully endorse the following video but from what I draw from it, we need to stand on principles, fight for civilian supremacy and judicial independence, but accept our society still listens to celebrities and populists, we have been taught to look to individual heros, not the collective effort and struggle. Our democracy is still evolving, because it only gets a chance for small periods of time and never fully freely. We are still a shortcut culture.

IMHO, We need a face, at the very least, to help the people stomach the reforms that will need to be bourn, IK should be that face but with the limits of institutions, because most people will listen to him, and quietly bare the hard times ahead, in hopes of a brighter and more fair future.

Even the members of the high court bar know this system is not satisfactory.

Btw, democracy has devolved to the point where the memes prove true. People come for the food. 1:24.

Building expensive power plants on unsustainable loans. Do the majority of the people trust him in a fair election? The democratic system requires the people trust the system if it is to get the best of everyone’s effort.
This comedy never ending ..... ruling Punjab 35 years and brother 3 time PM,,,still asking for time ... he will get lot of time after death.........

On Twitter

Its not just Twitter. The awareness in Pakistan is unprecedented. The empire of fear established by corrupt army will not last long.

This is the first time nation stands against the army. Its because army stands with the thieves and for their interest against the nation. No matter how much it tries, the army is going to lose this battle as army cant fight nation. It tried in East Pakistan and it lost.

I dont want to say anything humiliating to the army as through its actions is humiliating itself.

This is an army of cowards. It surrenders to Indians but fights its own people.

Where is fighting going on??
in the minds and thoughts, which is more lethal. In this age, every weapon is formed to control the public pulse ...Imran Khan did his job excellently. Eventually, same old tactic run by Zia, the Pakistan team going to India after so much humiliation from the Indians board to Pak board. Sports diversion tactics since Zia era.

Dead dont stand up for rights lol.
Pakistan is a dead nation.
Only looters or slave live in that graveyard so dont worry no one will stand against statud quo.

This is the first time nation has stood up and ran a long political campaign. The situation right now is due to fear. Pakistani people will overcome fear as well. The awareness and recognition of the enemy is the first step of emancipation.

It's good that you stand against army, it's good that we came out in numbers for our democracy but your leader is not who is going to lead us out of this situation
It'll be civillian supremacy and that can only work when all political parties come together to push army out of political sphere

Unfortunately the culture IK introduced in politics was such that he could never work with other political parties and relied on army to do his bidding (in parliament, politics you name it- he needed army to keep his party together except for core people, he couldn't pass laws without army) and when out of power still took on everyone without taking a step back, working with others (which is the ONLY way countries came out of army's cluches in countries like Indonesia, they worked together across political lines with thugs, corrupt, Mafias)

But him not doing that lead to civillians losing the limited space they had gained after dictatorships

He is not smart enough to lead us out of this mess
He should be replaced with someone within the PTI

What you said is true overall. But I think everyone is sort of missing the peripheral effects in their analysis.

The economy, remittances, and FDI.

Whatever confidence the diaspora has in Pakistan has genuinely crashed. There’s no one in the current system who has any good ideas.

He should be put under house arrest, disqualified for life and let someone else take charge from PTI- Hamad azhar or Ali Muhammad Khan

Everything will be alright, we are too big a country, way too much potential to not attract FDI's, fix our economic issues provided we have political stability (not artificially manufactured by army) and decent economic council or team

We don't need him anymore, he did his part
He woke us up, but now he is just a liability who is holding back our political process

If he should be disqualified then why not disqualify everyone else for life? That’s not democratic.

Pakistan is a big country but the potential chooran I’ve been hearing for around 10 years now. It’s been the same fate in Gwadar.

You need vision, will, and strategy. Which I don’t think neither PMLN has (by choosing Ishaq Dar) and PPP has. Remember how bad things got under PM Gillani, I was in Pak during that time.

We’ll get stability if people and vested powers are interested. Which no one really is.

PTI will continue to be big in Pashtunkhwa and Punjab though.

You keep hitting bull's eye!!
It is a huge personality flaw to think one is the best and only solution for a complex country like Pakistan. It is a huge personality flaw to think that ALL others are 'corrupt' and don't even deserve to be around Imran, as Imran demonstrated even during the NSC meeting around the Pulwarna 2019 crisis with India. It is a huge personality flaw.... well, I can write the same things over and over as I have been doing here.

But, going back to what I wrote above: Has anyone not noticed that Imran, on the eve of his arrest, finally mentioned 'PDM' by name, asking to sit with them to solve Pakistan's problems?? Place that offer against his previous statements and you'd realize what an opportunist coward he really is!! When no escape was available from the upcoming prison, the Jackal Khan decided to seek an NRO via those whom he had deemed unworthy to even sit with them. Just ponder the opportunism and cowardice, please!

PTI is only due to Imran and it will only survive in KPK as long as a Pukhtoon is able to lead it. Bring someone with non-Pukhtoon Background (such as Asad Umar) as its head and it will lose support in Pukhtoon society. A lot of the voter in KPK that turned over to PTI was the nationalistic vote bank of ANP. Khan was a pukhtoon personality on the national stage after a long while. PTI without I only reduces to a PT drill.

No one supports the other parties amongst Pashtuns 😂😂
