Avalanche traps about 150 Pakistani soldiers

Erieye is helping co-ordinate heli's in rescue operation, according to sources. :pakistan:

Where did you get that from? It is highly unlikely that pakistani helis, that too SAR helis are datalinked with AEWACs.

The locals of Baltistan are also supporting PA in rescue missions according to TV. Salute to these patriotic civilians too.

These people are a great asset. Remember when the Earthquake struck Islamabad, the first people to reach Margalla towers were a bunch of Mazdoors on a dumper truck. And I saw that from my very own eyes.

These people can also chip in until reinforcements come in.

All the World's a Stage

William Shakespeare[/SIZE][/B] :cry:

That's about the seven stages of life. Very inappropriate here, because these young men did not live long enough to go through those seven stages, they were plucked away in the fourth.

Not datlinked - visibility is low, many helicopters are taking off and landing, the Erieye is providing flight plans with radio link.

But that is the point, some live all the stages and some do not, it is what is written in your kismet.

Then there is a big chance that the big helis are not being used i.e Mi-17.

BARDS of Passion and of Mirth,
Ye have left your souls on earth!
Have ye souls in heaven too,
Doubled-lived in regions new?
Yes, and those of heaven commune
With the spheres of sun and moon;
With the noise of fountains wondrous,
And the parle of voices thund'rous;
With the whisper of heaven's trees
And one another, in soft ease
Seated on Elysian lawns
Browsed by none but Dian's fawns;
Underneath large blue-bells tented,
Where the daisies are rose-scented,
And the rose herself has got
Perfume which on earth is not;
Where the nightingale doth sing
Not a senseless, tranced thing,
But divine melodious truth;
Philosophic numbers smooth;
Tales and golden histories
Of heaven and its mysteries.

Thus ye live on high, and then
On the earth ye live again;
And the souls ye left behind you
Teach us, here, the way to find you,
Where your other souls are joying,
Never slumber'd, never cloying.
Here, your earth-born souls still speak
To mortals, of their little week;
Of their sorrows and delights;
Of their passions and their spites;
Of their glory and their shame;
What doth strengthen and what maim.
Thus ye teach us, every day,
Wisdom, though fled far away.

Bards of Passion and of Mirth,
Ye have left your souls on earth!
Ye have souls in heaven too,
Double-lived in regions new!

yes AEWACS in a rescue operation doesnt fit..
but may he its being used to guide the helis over the radio.

RIP to soldiers , its very hard to find survivors after oxygen fades out when buried not to frostbite
Only Survivor could be the ones who was in a temporary wooden shelter or home which got buried

Anyone left in open and buried very difficult

Another case of not having Enough Helicopters for Emergencies is evident ...

If we had may be 100-200 Helicopters I am sure 50 rescue helicopters would have made a difference

Since incident happened close to border and due to Low visibility, there is a strong chance our helicopters dont cross the border mistakenly so thats why an AWAEC is there.

why are you posting english colonial poems here??

damn extremely sad news RIP to the soldiers they were in the line of duty and i am proud of them i hope the casualities are very minimum but in these cases frost bites and lack of oxygen........ but have to stay positive

if they were inside a building or buildings they will have pockets of air to breath.....and obviously they were well insulated so freezing will be delayed....and snow also behaves as an insulator...

it all depends on how quick they are dug out.
