Should democracy be scrapped in India??

Democracy in India has failed to tackle many issues. For example, terrorism, corruption, poverty, scams, rougue neighbors etc.

INDIA badly needs a strong leadership, politics has done more damage to India's integrity than anything else it must be finished and replaced with the same one-party system as in many countries.

Though power in the hands of a single person cannot be supported outright, but a group of most prolific selfless persons who have the will and vigour to take this country to a position of a global power.

Ex: Narendra Modi & Nitesh Kumar.

Please express your thoughts on this.

PS: Trolls, fake profiles please keep out.

I would much prefer a strong honourable kind hearted king like Yudhishtir to this current system.

Not possible. Dictatorships work only in small countries with non-diverse populations. Especially would not work in India. Democracy, while a slow and inefficient process, is the best possible process for the nation.

Every system of governance has their own flaws, & so has democracy. But there is one advantage democracy has over others is that inbuilt self correcting mechanism & system evolves as the time goes on. Legislations like RTI is the perfect example.

Why do you think democracy should scrapped to address those issues you have mentioned? If India unable to address those issues means..
No powerful Indian security units to defeat those terrorist groups or lack of laws against terrorism in the country.
corruption - it's the same
poverty - government's failure to address the poverty
scams - Not enough institutions to act against or issues in police.
rougue neighbors -?

Democracy will destory India in 3 years

India 2012 Economy

1. High Inflation

2. High Fiscal Deficit

3. High Trade Deficit

4. High Debt

5. INDIAN Currency's Greek tragedy continues, Rupee falls to all-time low of 55.02

India = Next Greek?

@On topic

Dictatorship can not put together this diverse country together. Dictatorship means no existence of basic rights. Look at the China
