First comes freedom then everything else ! Ask any slave/captive, human or animals no one wants their freedom taken away & the last few weeks have shown that "true freedom" in CN is all but a fleeting dream except for those who can afford it i.e. those in power or the rich folks !

U would understand if you were to be an Indian.

:D I knew someone will give this answer. I simply feel Indians haven't anything to mention in their democracy than other countries.
okay, let's take USA & India. which country has more democracy? Give the reason for your answers.

Its easy for you and me we have food fags and computers. Ask someone who has kids they cannot feed whether they want democracy or food

Your stupid question itself falls flat on its face cause there is no such thing as more/less democracy so its either democracy or whatever else get that ! The real question would be the amount of freedom one enjoys within a democracy & ask any US citizen on the forum how they're constantly monitored by the CIA/FBI that'll give you some insight before "comparing" democracies !

Should democracy be scrapped in India??

Democracy in India has failed to tackle many issues. For example, terrorism, corruption, poverty, scams, rougue neighbors etc.

INDIA badly needs a strong leadership, politics has done more damage to India's integrity than anything else it must be finished and replaced with the same one-party system as in many countries.

Though power in the hands of a single person cannot be supported outright, but a group of most prolific selfless persons who have the will and vigour to take this country to a position of a global power.

Ex: Narendra Modi & Nitesh Kumar.

Please express your thoughts on this.

PS: Trolls, fake profiles please keep out.

Its like chopping the head off to cure a headache.

A non-democratic dictatorship may seem appealing but, its trade off again, you"ll either be stuck with a guy like Kim Jong Il or Lee Kuan Yew

Interesting. What is causing this currency fall ?

Reason:

High Trade Deficit
High Debt
High fiscal Deficit
High Unemployment

At 54.51 rupees per dollar, India's GDP is smaller than Australia's!

In 2011 (at an average exchange rate of 46.667 Indian rupees per U.S. dollar), India's GDP was 1.676 trillion.

At the current exchange rate of 54.41 rupees per dollar:

1.676 trillion x (46.667 rupees / 54.41 rupees per dollar) = $1.437 trillion Indian GDP for 2011

After adjusting India's 2011 GDP to the current exchange rate ($1.437 trillion), it is smaller than Australia's GDP ($1.488 trillion)!

seriosly dude get a life. Our freedom is the most valuable thing we have. And before talking about changing our country, first come back to India and help to improve things here instead of paying taxes to Luxembourg.

That's what I want to tell Indian members here! Democracy isn't the matter for corruption, terrorism, poverty, scams, all these things happen failure of that country and some group of it's society!

before comparing US (which is + 200 yrs old) with India, compare India with your nation...

Yeah ask anyone from Afghanistan whether they want freedom from Taliban or whatever else including food ! Freedom/security aren't mutually exclusive per se but the degree of freedom one enjoys depends on the level of democratic reforms the country has undertaken ! Many of the programs that CN has excelled at are labeled as capitalist so its not like they aren't embracing the west just that political reforms in that country are at a standstill due to the one party rule of CPC !

Yea but we are not talking about Afghanistan. Of course security is important. But I thought this thread was about India and a push even Pakistan is really off topic mate
