jaziya was the type of tax you pay now to the government. jaziya was used as municpal and security tax. after all the ottoman empire took jaziya and protected the non muslims under its realm.


and best thing about zakat and jaziya is that if implemented social welfare for all is done. a concept that all europeans and indians love to have that was started by MUSLIMS. its ironic how indians would pay tax but if you change the name of tax to jaziya they cry!

Please read modern books...which gives reviews of research and accounts of more people especially Chinese, Japanese, Arabian and other European accounts! although i dont follow the concept of monotheism preached by moses, jesus and muhammad i do believe in their holiness as much as i believe in Ram and Krishna eventhough i am a devout hindu i have prayed in church, mosque and gurudwara and i visit haji ali dargah atleast once a month

well i am sorry but all these people can not be all gods now can they? the simple logical explaniation is that they will have a conflict of interest like apparently the mythological greek gods had amongst themselves!

as for musa,isa & Prophet Mohammed S.A.W they were just plain messengers! they were higher than ordinary human beings but after all were human beings and simple messengers of the one true god. that is the essence of belief. ONE AND ONLY GOD! the creator of everything who needs no worldly desires and doesn't need no worldly means.

Moghuls, like most kings, were good and bad.

Good: Taj Mahal, unifying northern India

Bad: Practically everything else (from economy to genocide of hindus)
