Religious differences break out again

In this way the Temple was Harmed 3 times in Independent India itself... the Origin of the Temple is traced even before the construction of Charminar ...

It only shows how weak and spineless the Hindu community has grown to tolerate such nonsense inside their own country. Do you think a Malaysia or Kuwait or even a 60% majority Brunei will tolerate anything against Islam? Not once will that happen.

But only you guys have become so weak today that you don't wish to retaliate.

And instead, this government has the shame to criticize retaliation in Burma that the Buddhists are doing after years of being fed up first.

What has happened to the spirit of this country?

Come in Hyderabad i will let u meet Hundreds of oldies born in 1930's & 40's who has worshiped in these Temples perior to 1960 ... thats goes all of MIM propaganda which says Temple was constructed after 1969...

The bits you say about it being there before 1969 may be true but it also seems to me that the temple there was built much after the Charminar which itself was built to mark the end of a plague affecting Hyderabad. MIM itself is taking advantage of this situation for their own political gains. Why give it a ready made issue to whip up sentiments so that it can win elections?

There doesn't seem to be any reason why the temple cannot be relocated away from the Charminar. Apart from a few bruised egos it doesn't hurt anyone. If this isn't nipped in the bud the wound will continue to foster. This isn't good for the residents of Hyderabad nor for the the country.

The ASI meanwhile should enforce their own rules and do what is necessary to preserve the city's iconic building.

break all mosque and temple in that area. charmina is a secular tourist spot thats all.

Why?

Why you choose the neutral escapist past rather than have the courage to face the truth?

Will a Muslim country back down from such a dispute in its own territory?

Why do you want to hurt the sentiments of thousands of Hindus who have only India as a country of refuge for their religion?

Mate, is relocating one temple a perment solution? I do agree with you on the fact that The Charminar is a historic monument but how can a temple at the side of the monument which does not harm the existence be a problem? Well.....all I would like to say here is that India belongs to Muslims as much as it belongs to people of other faith, if the temple was built there in the 1970's and the Muslims there dint have a problem then the Temple has every right to stay.

Feel free to disagree.

So what is the history of the temple? How did it come to be so close to the Charminar? I did a google search and came up with this.

Charminar, once an icon of Hyderabadi pride, now a combat ground of religious dominance | TwoCircles.net

The Charminar was obviously there first and the temple itself doesn't have much historical significance. There should have been no problems in relocating the temple and I think this should be done voluntarily for peace. However now that this has been politicised to this extent, the chances of this being done are very slim indeed.

Completely disagree. Why should there be any conceding by either party when the case is under court review? Not only is it a poor precedent to set( bringing the case outside the purview of the law might turn it more communal), it reinforces the belief in a certain segment of Muslim leadership that threatening violence is enough to make things swing their way. How long is India going to be held hostage to Muslims wanting to either ban a YouTube video or agitating against the Quran being burnt in the US or arresting people who speak ill about their religion? The irony is that even after all the banning and arresting, the Muslims went apesh*t anyway!!!

Cause it is bound to be used by the fanatics on both sides.

The issue will be decided by secular law. Was there an existing structure in place when the monument was taken over by the ASI? Does it have any historical connection to the Char Minar? If not, the temple was built as a violation of ASI rules and shouldn't have been allowed to be built in the first place.

The temple itself doesn't seem to be of any significance to Hindus and obviously pales in historical and cultural significance when compared to the Char Minar. I don't see why it cannot be rebuilt away from the monument.

This will be decided by a secular court there is no question about it.

We should learn to stop seeing it as a Hindu vs Muslim question and start looking at it as a right vs wrong question.

That we all agree too, but then the MIM leaders jumping in when the court has issued the status quo smacks of sikularism.

Will it become another babri ? The violence began due to the construction of Hindu temple near muslim historic constructions .

Flash news : MIM withdrwas its support to AP and UPA govt . Muslims protesting against suppression of Muslims im very large numbers . Hindu guru Swamy paripurnanada was arrested secretly . Sanghparivar , RSS behind attacks says MIM . No major violence was reported but situation seems to go out of control in old city .

Akbaruddin Owaisi is a pain in the elbow.

wasnt it about the 400-year-old heritage instead of religious thing?
These relogion have done enough harm. Now they should be eliminated for better future

That much is understood but (as Samantk put it across) the same is understood better by some and poorly by others.

Even one of the great hindu leader , peetadhipathi paripoornanada is not allowed to step down from police van to see the goddess , what a pity and fate for Hindus in their very own state .
