Kingdom pressing Pakistan to abandon IP gas pipeline.

KSA's two major exports are wahabi/deobandi/salafi/tambilighi terrorism and oil.

Why the hell should Pakistan consider anything these Bedouins say ? The cancer of terrorism in the guise of religion has spread not only in Pakistan, but throughout the world all thanks to these Najdis which our Beloved Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم‎ had warned us about

I am myself a wahabi.

Do you dare accuse me of these accusations?

The part that I deleted, I can put it back if you want.

If you would like I can put it back... I am not ashamed of being an Indian

No need ...

Just use your real flags next time , that is why you have second flag to show your country of birth / nationality ...

You dont know about anything because you are brainwashed by Khomanin.

The world doesn't look through your Sunni/Shia prism ... Where exactly have I ever praised Ayatollahs ? :azn: Wasn't I very clear when I said that my country isn't interested in your Arab/Persian rivalry ?

There are strong rumors that Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has joined the United States to oppose Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project for which Pakistan is trying to arrange financing in the face of tightening US sanction on Iran.

The Chinese have already pulled out of the project after the US imposed sanctions on banks and other entities dealing with projects and transactions involving Iran. Russia's Gazprom is reportedly interested in financing and constructing the Pakistan section of the pipeline, but only on the condition that the project be awarded to it without any competitive bidding.

The question now is how should Pakistan deal with the situation? Can Pakistan satisfy its growing energy needs without alienating the Saudis and avoiding crippling US sanctions which could be more damaging than its current energy crisis?

To answer these questions, let's first examine the following facts:

1. Pakistan has at least 50 trillion cubic feet of recoverable domestic shale gas reserves, according to US Energy Information Administration.

2. US oil and gas companies are pioneers and leaders in shale gas development. In fact, these firms have been so successful that there is now a gas glut in the United States and gas prices have plummeted to less than $2 per mmBTU (approx 1000 cubic feet).

3. Iran-Pakistan deal requires Pakistan to pay $11-12 per mmBTU for its gas, six times the current price in the United States. Since the pricing formula for Iranian gas is based on the price of oil, it's almost certain that Pakistan will end up paying more than $12 per mmBTU with rising oil prices in the future.

4. Pakistan needs investment and technical know-how to develop its shale gas reserves to assure cheap and abundant energy supply.

Considering the above-mentioned facts, I think the best option for Pakistan is to go with its own domestic shale gas at a fraction of the price Iran is demanding.

Pakistan's best interest is not in defying Saudis and Americans to buy expensive Iranian gas and end up with crippling sanctions which could be much worse than its current energy crisis. Its best interests will be served by developing its own cheap domestic shale gas on an accelerated schedule with Saudi investment and US tech know-how. If the Americans and the Saudis refuse to help, then Pakistan will have a stronger case to go with the Iran gas option.

You are trying to insult wahabi muslims directly. Obviously you are talking to me. I am wahabi.

This is what we believe:

We don't worship graves.

We do not listen to a Mullah as our conection with God is personal.

So please explain your outrageous outbursts?

worshiping graves is a kufr and shirk little man

What does that have to do with Wahabi terrorism ?

Never hid my nationality, but the misleading flags are to keep you from looking at me through the particular lens even before you begin to read my posts.

May not make sense to you, but to me it matters a lot that you see me as a reasonable human being, than as some specific national who lives on brownie points scored in an internet forum.

If I were to hide my nationality, I wouldn't make posts in Urdu and Hindi... and I could hide it so well no one would have known.

Kingdom is Pakistan's time tested friend, and must understand the gravity of our energy crisis. Their concerns of Pakistan tilting towards Iran strategically just because of a damn pipe are misread and miscalculated.

Well spend some time on the forum and you will realize that we do not look at members through that particular lens of " nationality " otherwise we wont have Indian think tanks and professionals here ...

You were reasonable - I just thought you mistakenly mentioned your true nationality , realized it and then deleted it ... That the first time I saw you here actually ...

I just had a free time to waste on some idiots. now I'm done good luck with your pipeline.

What pipeline? Iran is supplying oil to US troops in Afghanistan, without pipeline!

If wished, oil can be sent to Pakistan on same tankers.

Commenting on comments; I wonder how people believe the news of their own interest so conveniently... grow up kids.

Relations with Iran regime does not mean relations with Iranian nation, no one in Iran stand behind regime.

Shame on Saudi Arabia for settling scores with Iran through us.

US sanctions on Iran, essentially dictates the world (larger scale), to stop trading with Iran,.... with exceptions of course!

In the same context... should it not be read as bigger shame?

I think National Interest of Pakistan is Pakistani Decision , what Saudia should know is that

Pakistan has had brotherly ties to Saudia , and our people`s best wishes with will be with Saudis provided they do not stirr in the bee`s nest and put their dic_k.......s in the bee`s nest sorta speak

Has Saudia ever gone in a defence Pact with Pakistan = No

Does Saudia has a law to pay Pakistanis same level as Saudi = No

Does Saudia have good relation with Pakistan , Yes because the Love Pakistanis have with Land of Prophet

I think the Saudis have to Align with Pakistan on Global issues and respect our citizens that work in Saudia
We have already given enough love to our brothers but current request is not logical as its against our National Policy and our People`s interest we need energy badly

We need the Gas for Homes in Pakistan to cook food , to run cars and also to help our local industry , its nothing personal but this is Pakistans National Decision
