Is china really want friendship(good relation)with india

Do we need to remind who had harbored Tibetan slavers owners and Dalai Lama the wanted man in 1959, and let things degenerated for refusing border talk? so please don't portray yourself as victim...as for now there is no such thing as "trust" only realpolitik.

Dalai Lama is a great man. Why should we persecute or allow him to be tortured or killed? Slave owner? So what does that have to do with CHina? You think you can sway ppl's opinion by spouting negative perceptions? Come on guy, every nation has a bit of good, bad, and ugly.

Sadly, Indian ppl are victims. So are Tibetans. And so on. We are all victims at some point. I believe there can be real trust bt it up to nations to decide whether to take it such levels. You have to build trust.

Yeah yeah big talk. Listen buddy, whose country has to censor the internet? India or CHina? Which country needs to hide the facts from its ppl via media/internet/ forums, etc? India or China?

Now you have your answer.

As for the war, just read the articles on some unbiased sites. India had all the cues and the govt was notified. Nehru is the only reason we did not spank you ***. Now run along. YOu really need to read more, then you will realize how much crap you spew.
no matter how you decorate your words, you backstabbed China at 1962. Nehru was once a sincere friend of China, but he failed to control his expansion desire under soviet union's instigation. I am not blaming Nehru, cause he was maximizing India's interest by launching that war. Unfortunately, he failed to deliver a win but India grasped South Tibet.

We owned Aksai Chin.

Sadly I was born too late. Since I was young child, I have more vision in my pinky than India's govt in those yrs. THe ppl who had the clarity and vision were always sidelined for marginalized by corrupt burecrats who had special interests or were too dumb to comprehend the significance. Trust me, I am the first to blame our govt not our ppl.

Indeed it's very sad, I have no doubt that if you can go back to the pass, you certainly want to undo the curse of being cut of central Asia, the old silk road had brought buddhism to Xinjiang then Inner China.

WHO wont do much. Never has. China plays by different rules. You state owned entreprises enjoy unusual unwaivering support for many reasons. How can anyone compete fairly? They cannot.

why not create your own state owned enterprise in this case??

ASEAN is realistic and so they will exploit any situation they can. Thats why you see the US being asked to come in and play a role. China cannot digest this role. As for the vice comment....its only natural for China to respond back in some way or another. The reality has been trying to tighten a noose around India. Sadly, China has not tied the knot properly. India is only reacting to CHina's actions. I hope you understand. Saying you want peace but doing the complete opposite is just more obvious proof. The burden of truth and friendship is on China, not India.

Only those Pinoys cried for American help...not all ASEAN, we should be clear on that, up until now Americans are there as Pinoys cheerleaders and moral supporter, they haven't done any harm to our interest yet. As for the vice issue, it's chicken and egg who tighten whom first...you have to find the root cause of the problem. Sure we want peace but not at any cost and we don't have to prove anything to earn the friendship...it's bilateral issue.

Again you don;t know much about your own Premier Zhou Enlai. Read up. What's so different about India's so called expanison desire while CHina has acted on such with Tibet? Plz tell me how does that fit into your mind? Tibet was free country till China took over by force? If it willingly went, then things would be different.

Read up how the Burmese PM warned Nehru ......

Don;t bother responding. I realize you do this for a living. It doesn;t what facts or graphs I use, your repsonse will the be same.

Can we said the same if we decide to offer santuary to fleeting Maoist leader and follower? No China certainly won't do that because it's India internal matter. C'mon you're victime..what about us??? when you guys toke Mc mahon line as for granted without China agreement that expected us just to swallow what it have been decide by India,Tibet and England?

Don't tell me Tibet would have chosen India if we didn't take it in 1950s. Tibet was never a independent country in the history. The fact is Tibet now is now belonging to China and your dear government had accepted it long time ago before you given birth. Any problem with it?

Kiss of the Dragon,

Your post is honest and to the point. Trust me, If I was in a position India would have retained that sliver of land to Central Asia. It would have benefited us immensely. Again myopic rulers who can't think past their nose. I even wish many Indians were still Buddhist. I think it would have benefited our society much more. Even though I am Christian, I still practice Buddhism. It simply make more sense to me. Much more pragmatic approach to life and the world.

I have asked the question about the creation of stated funded and owned entreprises. I think initially there were certain sectors, but I am not well versed as to why it did not flourish. I think India;s socialist policies caused more harm than good. This may affected such ventures. Also, I think the govt is burdened by too much corruption to see it full potential. When you have such culture in politics, it is a curse more than a blessing. I have to delve deeper to tell you the exact roles India played behind such ventures.

As for the ASEAN issue. It's only the beginning. Time will tell what becomes of it. India, Bangaldesh, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Burma, Vietnam, etc are changing their train of thought and are becoming more accepting of America in the area. As for Pinoys, you are correct. I agree peace is a bilateral issue between India and China. But the world has become flat recently. We all tend to watch and observe everyone;s actions good or bad. This all plays a role whether we agree or not.

The root causes are there in plain sight. It all depends how far back in time you want to go. Let's be realistic and settle in the present not the past. India has always wanted peace but China for the past 3 decades has shown a very indifferent attitude. To become a friend sometimes, you may have to change positions to allow this new relationship to settle. Wanting peace but doing actions that say otherwise sends a msg that one cannot trust mere words.

Don't tell me Tibet would have chosen India if we didn't take it in 1950s. Tibet was never a independent country in the history. The fact is Tibet now is now belonging to China and your dear government had accepted it long time ago before you given birth. Any problem with it?

Yea I have a problem with it. If CHina can retract and all of sudden rake up SIkkim, then what stops us from doing so? I never never assumed Tibet will side with India or China. It would have been great to let Tibet enjoy its status as an independent state. If you had nothing to hide you would not ban media there when Tibetans started rioting recently, now would you?

The fact is that If Tibet was never independent then you would not have to invade. The fact is that though TIbet is a part of China now, it doesn;t want to be NOW OR BACK THEN?

Dude, ULFA is enjoying Chinese support thru proxies. In fact, ULFA leader is hiding in China. CHinese weapons are being used by ULFA. China is supporting Pakistan. Every adavantage or edge we gained, China quickly helped to equalize that. We are both victims. You must remember, Tibet was Independent. South Tibet was given to the British by Tibet when it was Independent.

After the Xinhai Revolution (1911–12) toppled the Qing Dynasty and the last Qing troops were escorted out of Tibet, the new Republic of China apologized for the actions of the Qing and offered to restore the Dalai Lama's title.[45] The Dalai Lama refused any Chinese title, and declared himself ruler of an independent Tibet[46]. In 1913 Tibet and Mongolia concluded treaty on mutual recognition[47]. For the next 36 years, the 13th Dalai Lama and the regents who succeeded him governed Tibet. During this time, Tibet fought Chinese warlords for control of the ethnically Tibetan areas in Xikang and Qinghai (parts of Kham and Amdo) along the upper reaches of the Yangtze River.[31] In 1914 the Tibetan government signed the Simla Accord with Britain, ceding the South Tibet region to British India. The Chinese government denounced the agreement as illegal.[48][49]
When the regents in the 1930s and 40s displayed negligence in affairs, the Kuomintang Government of the Republic of China used this to their advantage to expand their reach into the territory

China uses historical texts and accounts, but your thinking has to change. You use it to your advantage but it is not fair. Leave the past and settle on the present. Nobody looks down on CHina. I think you earned respect in the world. So why are you so bothered. If India can let go of a piece of Kashmir then why can China show the same mature attitude?

China has used the same premise to invade and control parts of Vietnam. But Vietnam was no easy pushover like the Tibetans who were ill equipped to fight the Mao after WW2.

PS I thought Buddhism spread thru Tibet and then Inner China?

More and more Chinese turn for Christianity, it will help building democracy. A type of democracy suitable for typical China social condition.

Tell me the reason India always wanna edge out Pakistan in the sub continent? Your endless desire for Indian empire, am I right? Tibet is a integral part of peoples' republic of China, even your government officially accepted it. Why some Indian still live in delusional and denial. You think India has any ability to challenge our existence in Tibet? As to those riots in Tibetan, all the rebellion will be treated equally as UFLA members as rebellions by India. Stay in realistic and stay away from our land. Dalai Lama was a dilapidated politician monk, will never allowed to return to his slave land until he confess his atrocity.

It's peoples' determination. You think a party could make decision for the whole people? if china wanna become something in the world, we must achieve democracy in the first place. Lots of young people in china will agree with me on this, CCP has to make progress in terms of democracy in the future. We know what CCP's pros and cons, a Party can't disobey what it's people desire. As the living condition of Chinese getting better and better, we will spare our energy to peruse democracy in a proper way, which ensure not to dampen the development of this great country in the long run.

China and India knows only business with each other nothing else. they will continue to grow and i am expecting a cold war in future as between Russia and USA as both countries have their sphere of impact it is very small for India and China but in future it will enlarge and I dont know it is good or bad thing to have two this large and powerful countries on same region and ofcourse they don't have best of relations
