That is my all-time favorite PTV drama. Love that Karamdad!
Also loved Sona Chandi, although it tended to get a bit sappy at times.

(I haven't lived in Pakistan for a loooong time, so I don't know when these aired on PTV. May not have been the 90s. I only watched them on VCR)

Does anyone know where I can buy the DVD for the full series of Andhera Ujala? All I can find online is some DVD which claims to have "selected episodes". Heck, I can download most episodes from youtube, but the quality is bad.

Also, I heard from friends in Pakistan that people nowadays don't watch Pakistani TV. Guys mostly watch American cable channels, and girls mostly watch Indian. That's a shame because we used to have fantastic dramas and artistic programs back in the old days... We even managed to produce some good movies -- good enough for the Indians to copy (OK, both sides "borrowed" from each other )

yup that show Music Channel Chart and Dhuwaan and another karate drama totally changed the youth's perspective and way of life, suddenly pop music and learning self defense was the most "it" thing. I remember walking to school with friends or at schools with friends all we'd talk about was Fakher-e-Alam's awesome rapping skills lol and Dhuwaan's action sequences especially repelling through the glass window scene. Awesome.

Here at ILlusions Junnah Super Market Isloo, I have seen DVDs of Alpha, Bravo & Charlie, Sona Chandi, Fifty-Fity & i m 100% sure there will be DVDs of Ahdra Ujala as well
