In my view its to avoid legal issue with the federal govt. however, since Hangu drone strike, I believe that KP govt has a right to stop, lets see what Cabinet meeting decides tomorrow.

The alliance with JUI would hurt PTI in the long run. That.s history, I dont see them.gaining urban support in the next elections, from karachi and lahore. We need a stronger moderate party not a rightist one, as we already have alot of those. Anyways let.s see how this goes.

But who would tell this to Imran Khan? And the way JI is going. Even in KPK, PTI will be hurt more badly than the others since JI's vote bank is firm while PTI's vote bank is a broken mandate from other parties.

High Security as PTI stages sit-in against US drone strike


The security has been put on high alert in the city and its surrounding areas ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its allies' sit-in protest against drone attacks.

Containers have been placed on the Ring Road to close it for vehicular traffic. Roads leading towards Ring Road were thoroughly checked by Bomb Disposal Units and sniffer dogs.

Extra police force was deployed at all main entry and exit points. Hotels nearby Ring Road have also been closed as for security measures.

The administration has deployed more than 500 Police personnel to maintain order during the rallies and demonstration.

The call for sit-in was given by the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government against drone attacks.

So far the federal govt is hypocrite, it initiated a APC to stop drones, passed resolutions in parliament, but did nothing practically to stop drones. as dollars speak, nawaz and generals go silent !

On the plus side this might cause our provinces to push for greater autonomy. Constitutionally that would benefit us in the long run.
I just wish we hand something like this for anti-corruption and increasing the tax net. Don't know.why our priorities are so narrowly focused.
