Bangladesh has obtained 19,467 square-kilometres out of 25,000 square-kilometres disputed area with India in the Bay of Bengal.

Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali disclosed the verdict of the case related to the maritime dispute between Bangladesh and India from the Permanent Court of Arbitration.

The minister also thanked India for accepting the verdict.

He mentioned the verdict as a win for both the countries.

"This is a victory of friendship between Bangladesh and India. The Maritime dispute between the two countries has come to an end following the verdict," said Mahmood Ali.

The minister said the verdict would take the relationship between the two neighbouring counties one step forward.

Your profound wisdom and clear yet just and reasonable argument is impressive. As I said, I really value your cheering for a legal ruling to resolve a maritime dispute.

BD India relations are great. Yet BD buys arms from China, Russia etc, has good relations with US and courts Japan too. The BD section here infested with jamaati posters will give you the impression that BD govt is subservient to India, but its obvious to any non-blind person that its a fair relationship.

Most probably a paid PRC internet warrior. The idea of abiding by international rulings is alien to them, as they are paid to project PRC propaganda.

Here is an example of the dichotomy between India and the PRC. The former will abide by international rulings, the latter does not.

Well, congratulations to Bangladesh, and to India -- also a very large congratulations for following / abiding by the ruling. This will definitely increase confidence between India and Bangladeshi relations.
China with Japan, do you think the international court would favor wh0?In any case, the Tribunal will favor Japan

Japan has no territorial issues, we effectively administer the Senkaku Islands. Period.

As for CHINA, your country has a an ICJ case with the Philippines relegated to the South China Seas.

Congrats to BD! :)
Difference of opinions always happen in between people, international boundaries are no exception. But I love how India, being more "powerful" respected the decision.
@Pakistani people : If the land was disputed and belonged to BD, we are ready to give it back. This should be a good thing!
@Chinese people : Please stop saying India "Lost", this is wrong since we're ready to give it back. This should be more of a case of misunderstanding that should had been resolved peacefully. And it did!

So this is a "WIN" for humanity! And a "WIN" of peace! :)

Oh, no matter from which side the Diaoyu Islands are China's . Japan's so-called effective management, China does not recognize,, Chinese official vehicles free access.

Like you said, there is no territorial dispute between China and Japan, between China and the Philippines, also no.

You clearly are misinformed. There are several territorial disputes between China and the ASEAN countries such as: The Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Brunei and to an extent Indonesia.

There is no issue with the Senkaku Islands, which are part of the Japanese Prefecture of Okinawa. Intrusion of Chinese scout aircraft irritates us, but we have 24/7 interdiction command and control. And outdated Chinese surveillance planes are escorted out. We have administrative posts and territorial control over the Senkaku Islands.

Now, back to the subject matter. Bangladesh and India.

Before some morons can make comments I wish to inform you all that the said area lies in sea, its a part of EER, its not land. India didn't occupy it, its a part of sea. Indian land disputes with Bangladesh are at much smaller scale.

u should recognize the fact,
Japan's territorial disputes , Russia, South Korea, China, ROC( Taiwan), Japan havefew neighbors, but it has territorial disputes with all.

Again the Diaoyu Islands belong to Taiwan Province of China, Yilan County.

Now, back to the subject matter. Bangladesh and India.
