Altay & Turkish Main Battle Tank Programs

I don't know whatever its true but last month in an article on Hurriyet newspaper i read 2015 date will be delayed to 2016 because army wanted first batch Altays too have an APS(AKKOR) considering wire guided missile threat in neighbourhood rising non-stop.

When i talked to Otokar officials in Baku, they told me that it will be ready end of 2016. I really want to see it in the field soon...

It will be more funny when the 2016 delayed then to 2017. Let´s hope not but it seems to be that something like that must happen.

Edinilen bilgiye göre yaklaşan antitank füzelerini tankın yakınında patlatarak imha etmeye yarayan sistem, Altay’ın 2017’de başlayacak seri üretim dönemine yetişmeyecek. Kara Kuvvetleri Komutanlığı ise aktif kalkan sisteminin tankın üzerinde mutlaka olmasını istiyor.

I'm hopeful we see the Altay serve with the Pakistani army. Combined with the AK2-AK1-TYPE 3000, our armoured formation would be a sight of awe and brute power.

I know I keep saying this, but keep it up Turkish bros. This is one of my favourite threads.

The Altay is to heavy(in weight) for Pakistan.

First serial manufactured Altay will be revealed in May 2017...

Even Otokar stated that Project is proceeding ahead of schedule but Trials may take longer than expected Nobody knows but Just a friendly advice, Don't care "funny" wishes of mentally ills.

Komik olan ise 2017 K2´de Seri üretime gecicek ve Güney Kore´de o Tarih´de alicak ilk Tanklarini.

Surface dispersal and the resulting less pressure takes care of that right? The Abrams was everywhere in Afghanistan (similar terrain to Pakistan) and as for sand, it seems to have been in Iraq forever.
