Should Pakistan just repatriate Kashmiri Muslims?

Not true.

We want people to live where they want. Currently both Govts. refuse permission to their populace to do that. If Pakistan allows them in, we should hold them here against their will.

I have asked Kashmiri friends on Facebook why don't they just migrate to Azad Kashmir to escape Indian brutality. They say that India does not allow them to migrate.

Convert Indian occupied Kashmir part also into Azad Kashmir.

This is a non starter for more reasons than one. It had been debated here countless times.



Why not ? Why doesn't Pakistan make an open offer to absorb those who would like to cross over ? After all India has absorbed countless Hindus & Sikhs from BD & Pakistan.

The moot point is , is this in Pak interests ?

we did 40,000 migrated and most are getting nationality now ofcourse process slowed down after Afghan refugees went to AJK byt after expelling them we are again giving nationality to those who came here seeking refuge from an oppresive regime

India is actively giving citizenship to non Muslims escaping from Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Pakistan should consider also consider something along similar lines. Just saying...

Kashmir is a muslim majority state

The Kashmiris live there, it is their land and home

Why should they leave it?

They fight to free it from Indian occupation and Pakistan supports their right to freedom

Kashmir as a muslim majority state should be part of Pakistan

There was a different scenario in 1947 Punjab. The situation was different. So there's no comparison.

Bengal was bigger than Punjab yet there was no Punjab scale violence there when it got partitioned.
