You're absolutely right. The Palestinians are an oppressed people, but are the Pakistanis anything like the Palestinians? No sir. Pakistan has nukes for heaven's sake! They can choose a better path any time they want to, but they are bound by the ideological chains that they created for themselves.

Even then India did not intend to start a full-blown conflict, but it went out of hand so they quickly reversed the policy. Unlike some countries when never learn (;)), India learnt its lesson quickly.

The fact that China has many different types of ethnicities, biases and local cultures is obscured by the "Han Chinese" construction. There is a lot of regional, racial bias in China but it is not apparent for foreigners because they are simply unaware of the details.
