^^^ thats six billion dollars mate! if the old prices still hold good if not it will be more! I say it's better to invest this money in our nuke sub program! and yes the IN wants 3 SSBN and 6 SSN but that doesn't mean we can just lease em' all! We are getting this sub to familiarize ourselves with the op of a nuke sub! If you ask me I think we should stop with the one Akula...... and invest the rest of the money in maybe P75I.

Looks like the offer came from the Russian side, so they obviously can spare another one.

Incidentally, the Defence Minister said today that the government was considering a proposal to lease a second Akula-II from Russia.
