Afghan peace process cannot be Pakistan driven: India

I dont think so! how do we need afgh? They are only a burden on our economy and country in general.

If US hadnt attacked we wouldnt have had to face this so called WOT.... Terrorism spread in Pakistan after US invaded Afg.

Hence ur post is completely flase.

Well we are talking about the current scenario, not a hypothetical "Had US not done this"....coz then we can speak about a host of hypothetical flights of fantasy dont you think?
In that case, had Pak not been involved in creating the Mujahideen in the 70s,or initiated wars with India, Pakistan could have been a turkey type country by now....but that is not reality is it?

so speaking about ground reality, Pakistani economy is running on US aid which is obviously linked to Afghanistan....and Afg needs pak for access to warm waters and transit....

I think mutually beneficial is the right word

I stand by my statement....

India has a legitimate stake in the peaceful development of its neighborhood, hence Afghan involvement is warranted. And if the Afghans agree with our presence then I dont see the reason why Pakistan is crying.

You guys sound like two kids fighting over a lollipop.

What will most probably drive the political process is who is in power. Bottom line is, as long as Karzai is there, India has a role in Afghanistan. And that's the truth.

You contradict yourself dear Graphican.....

So which is it? Afghans who decide their future or Pakistanis that dictate their will in Afg?

You are not getting the message but words. What I said is its primarily the Afghans who has to decide their future and Borders between Afghanistan and Pashtoon population of Pakistan are (were in the past and will be in future) almost as non-existent. They move across the "border" without visas or any territorial restrictions. So when I say, Afghans and Pashtoons of Pakistan who are family to Afghans (who are more in number in Paksitan than Afghanistan and who are more in population in Afghanistan as compared to any other ethnicity), I say what I mean to say.

But ISI is something special in the context of Afghanistan. You are welcome to agree on that.

Seems u have some difficulty understanding the current scenerio?
We r fighting WoT started by USA!We wouldnt have been in this situation if US hadnt started it?

Even if today USA leaves things will become normal.......

In that case, had Pak not been involved in creating the Mujahideen in the 70s,or initiated wars with India, Pakistan could have been a turkey type country by now....but that is not reality is it?

Yes ur right we shouldnt have gotten involved between US & USSRs cold war.

But it is also true tht we were a turkey type country till then...... also we were one of the fastest growing economy in asia after China till the mid 2000s.

My friend 1 $ billion dollar doesnt run a country with 170-180 million population........While losing 60-70 $ billion in WoT.

...and Afg needs pak for access to warm waters and transit....

And so does NATO and central asian states.
I think mutually beneficial is the right word
Not really!!! ?
I stand by my statement....

Nobdys forcing u not too.

Afghanistan is our safe boundry towards the west and with our favourable government there in Afghanistan, we are able to concentrate on the border from where we have threat.

Also, Afghanistan's economy is getting better every year and even the moment we talk, Afghan currency is in better position than ours. So they are not a burden on our economy at-least. Yes you can say the resources we produce in Pakistan also go to Afghanistan but that aspect is matter of trade-control. If we can control that, which I suppose we can do easily, there wouldn't be anything to worry about.

And finally, Afghans are not anti-Paksitan. They were against us until Pakistan was "Actively involved in the War" together with American in the Musharaf era. Since Kyani took over, things are towards improvement. If you talk to Afghans, they would complain that Pakistan supported America against them but they are not hostile towards Pakistan even after all what we did to them in our plight of "alliance with America".

Learn from the people who know better than you and me about Afghanistan and the prospects of it and Indian Media or Enlightened Moderates in Pakistan might not be the best resource to learn that from.

@Graphican...... smuggling directly @#@$ our economy and inflation level.

Bharat is a not a neighbour of afghanistan. She is not considered a regional power by any sensible country and neither does she have a major role in international community, its sole purpose in afghanistan is to destabilize pakistan.

It will be good for your own sake if you people stop poking your nose in other country's backyard and stop making absurd statement such as bharat having a 3 thousand year old relation. Your country is mere 60 years old and you dont have any historical relation with afghans except you were ruled by them for few centuries.

Actually, geographically speaking, it was the ancient 'purearyan' Pakistan who's ruled by them, not we dravidians!

Why do yo think they want their land back from Pakistan? ;)

We really dont need to listen to bhartis, Afghanistan is pakistan's closest neighbour, pakistan has shown commendable patience in tolerating the afghanistan's aggressive behaviour since 1947, it is because we see them as a brother not as a base to occupy and spread terror to other countries, Afghanistan's neighbour Iran and pakistan have every right to decide its future, our security depends on their security.

The army from afghanistan will be instrumental in capturing Bharat again

ROFL!!!:rofl::rofl::rofl:
are u sure about the underlined bit,if i go by that logic i could say india has evry right to decide pakistans future.........,so you might as well not say that.

afghan army will be busy fighting the pakistani taliban, much less helping pakistan invade 'bharat',as far as Iran is concerned, theyd rather invade israel,so there go's your muslim invasion of India theory........

india is an unnatural player in afghanistan.

they share no border.

they share no ethnicity.

they share no religion.

they share no culture.

what they have done is put billions into afghanistan aligning themselves with the pashtun hating northern alliance.

so ok, they will get some statements out of afghanistan, big deal.

the reality is pakistan are a part of the solution in afghanistan and the united states fully realises this.

bringing india into the equation is not helpful - if the indians are intent on peace they should not get in the way of it, in other words a large chunk of the solution lies in islamabad, so dont get in the way of islamabad please.

thanks.

Pakistan can thrash everywhere or throw a fit for all we care ..India will remain in Afghanistan as long as Afghans or Indians want it.

Seems like we are moving in right direction

"Will not do anything detrimental to India's interest: Karzai"

india is necessary for peace in afghanistan and in south asia.
another wise whole terror traffic will be diverted to india itself.
we have faced enough

Err...excuse me!

What is the peace that you are talking about?

The peace in which a talib flogs a woman and kills her for venturing out of her home without the company of a male and destroys thousands' year old historical structures?

Or

The peace like the one you're currently enjoying under her majesty's auspices?

Which peace are you talking about, exactly?

Afghans pushtuns which i have met want pakistan and afghanistan to unite and since you bharti people know nothing about history, all of pakistan was part of afghanistan until ranjith singh who was made governor of lahore by Afghan king Zaman shah rebelled and and then he went on to occupy peshawar,

Afghanistan cannot survive if pakistan close the border even for a week and now make another pathetic reply to prove me how much afghans hate pakistan, You people get your knowledge from afghan forum run by bhartis, try meeting an afghan
