On what legal basis are these joint operations being carried out in Bangladesh? There must be some legal agreement allowing RAW to operate in tandem with the DGFI or NSI on Bangladesh soil. When was this agreement signed and by whom? More importantly is their a reciprocal agreement allowing DGFI and NSI to operate alongside RAW in India? If not then why have we allowed this liberty to Indian foreign intelligence for them to operate in Bangladesh?

UNLF confirms its chief held in Dhaka

Samudra Gupta Kashyap

Four days after unconfirmed reports said R K Meghen alias Sanayaima, chairman of the United National Liberation Front (UNLF), a Meitei rebel group, had fallen into the custody of security forces, the outfit on Saturday night issued a statement saying its chief had indeed been picked up in Bangladesh.

The statement issued in the Meitei language and emailed to newspaper offices in Imphal said R K Meghen was apprehended by a combined team of Bangladeshi intelligence and RAW sleuths at a place called Lalmatia under Mohammadpur police station on the outskirts of Dhaka on September 29. Meghen, said to be in his late 60s, was driving when he was picked up.

good news for Indian and Bangladesh
first all the news of co operation on infrastructure and economic development
second for permanent resolution of border dispute
and now this amazing development

I think its reciprocal agreement where both the sides had agreed that
they would not allow terrorist organizations on each others soil.

great news

lol our intelligence agencies exist in paper only...any many foreign spies are inside in our agencies.

Very good. it's right thing to do. India should help BD develop economically more.

If neighbors are develop, will be good thing for india as well.

No it shouldn't. It has to help itself before any other country.

Well done Bangladesh. But they need to do more. Anyway good going.
What all those militants doing in BD? Why most of them are in BD and when they went there?

and if it's didn't help itself, directly or indirectly it will all affect India. by helping them, we are helping us too.

Without an agreement this is an infringement and can DGFI operate in India? If not then such collaboration must stop.

Indian spill over becoming a constant headache for BD. BD should help India to develop so that those insurgent and other bad stuffs from India does not have to cross over to Bangladesh. Bangladesh could also extend its hand in capcity building of Indian security agency and intellegence. Seems like India is utterly incapable of solving those problems by itself and putting other south asian nations in its own made quagmire. :coffee:

Good job DGFI and NSI.

Agreements like this depend upon necessities among friendly nations. There is no particular necessity for Bangladeshi Intelligence to operate in India, but anti-Indian elements are present in Bangladesh.

The World has seen such agreements before and that is decided by the Chief of the Organization, who is more qualified than you or me to make a call on the matter.

USA has conducted such operations in Columbia to oust the drug lords in collaboration with Colombian government.

The JMB and other Islamic terrorist groups enter Bangladesh from India. If RAW can operate in Bangladesh on this pretext then DGFI should also have a presence in India.

There is also another point concerning how the persons apprehended are being transferred to India. There is no extradition treaty between Bangladesh and India. These cooperative operations between DGFI and RAW in Bangladesh seems highly dubious and is probably illegal and is tantamount to kidnapping.

There is no need for any extradition treaty to transfer some terror operatives as long as such terror outfits are creating a danger to the bilateral relations between both the nation.

Wow...you seem to be more concerned for terrorists than innocent people.
