China-India Standoff 2020 - Outcome

China&India are fighting together against #COVID19 & we have an important task to consolidate relations. Our youth should realise the relation between China & India, the 2 countries are opportunities for each other and pose no threat: Chinese Envoy to India, Sun Weidong(file pic)
Realization of "Dragon and Elephant dancing together" is the only right choice for China and India, which serves the fundamental interests of our two countries and two peoples: Chinese envoy

says need to enhance strategic mutual trust and never let differences shadow bilateral cooperation.
India was firm and patient in Dolam, issuing just two statements. China on the other hand, went berserk, threatening India through its media and think tanks. Think. Even this time India issued one statement. It is China which has said talks have begun!

2 minutes silence for those who were predicting India China War...LOL...:omghaha::omghaha::omghaha:

There isn't going to be a war. Neither countries want that. Long term economic cooperation is in the interest of both countries.

It makes some of the reactions and "analysis" some of the nincompoops here are doing all the more hillarious tbh.
The usual suspects here need to engage in the ritualistic bit of swinging poms poms and associate the current events to their nation. Its been tradition after an event that took place 49 years depriving some folks of their self-esteem :D

Some things to consider going forward. I am not sure how this will get resolved itself. The best case for India would be for China to withdraw from the approximately 35 sq km it has taken. But that would need some sort of a quid pro quo. No one knows exactly what the Chinese want and notwithstanding the comments of the Chinese ambassador (relatively low in the chain of leadership) about talks the actions on the ground seem to be hardening.

I wonder if India pushing their advantage in LAC against China would be an option which may inflame the Chinese even more and possibly expose India at other sites. There are rumors of China massing some 5000 troops opposite Uttarkhand. India could go on building the roads along more of the LAC. The Indians will likely need more permanent structures in some of these locations year round to prevent this from happening again.

From Pakistan perspective, I don’t see it as very good Necessarily. I feel, especially if humiliated by China, the Indians will try their “punish Pakistan” tactic as much as possible to win back some lost pride in their local press. On the other hand is they come out on top, this may embolden them further against Pakistan. Now if the Chinese go to war (or skirmishes) against India - extremely unlikely- that may change things for Pakistan possibly for the better.

@Mangus Ortus Novem The downplaying brigade was thinking otherwise here on the assessment of yours truly. :D Funny how indians never learn. Lots more to come..

However, now to the second part of

keep an eye on GCC in upcoming days. Not discounting Iranian and Kabulistan's factor vis a vis Pakistan but that's being already engaged. However, economic front and GCC.... all interlinked. But on the other hand it also makes the chances of Indian false flag attack more probable. Again as i said; who is gonna blink and China is not blinking. What india does will seal her fate for a very long time, may be to the point that she will have to retreat from her position in Kashmir, initially diplomatically, later on ground as well. And that will depend on how Pakistan plays her cards. And not taking pressure from GCC

As the dynamic changes; it changes india's dynamics vis a vis Pakistan as well. Interesting times coming.

We have been paying attention to Taiwan and the United States
Can't find a reason to provoke war at the China-India border

India thinks the same way, so it feels that China cannot care about the China-India border under the pressure of the epidemic situation, China-US issue and Taiwan issue. They can invade

Just like in the1950s 1960s, thought that New China was very poor when it was first established, and it kept invading when it ignored the border. Eventually China had to fight back.

Taiwan and the United States will be very happy about the China-India border
conflict. China is not happy. But not afraid, if India continues to provoke, China will not be weak.
