ExxonMobil wants gas exploration in Bangladesh's seas, lands

This as I have said many times here, this will be an ecological disaster. Considering the numerous of oil spills that has happened in history and even till today.

Only difference is the we have our terrifying and magnificent cyclone that will be a air pick and air drop of trillions of gallons of toxic cancerous on to Bangladesh and surrounding areas.

Destroying our food sufficiency, live stock, grains, vegetables/fruit and human life.

It will be a also a trilateral issue between Indian- bdesh- mymmar and then reaching out to places possibly as far as Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia

Also with Western or u.s controlled corporation operating it, if we do not jump to thier demands . At a very convenient time an ecological disaster will happen regarding an oil spill and it was 'oopsy accident that no one saw coming'
You must bring out your idiotic Mulla power to stop the degradation of the Seas and ecology. You can get some helps from old Holy Books written by ignorant people living in Western Asia.

No philosophy, no knowledge, no science and no nothing. You represent all those illiterate people though living in the 21st century, always talking doomsday thanks to your Mulla parents who left their Mulla country but successfully produced another big Mullah.

This is like giving western controlled body, a locked and loaded gun that we are paying fir and cleaning and pointing at us.

It's not dooms days , it's actual eventuality. Cyclones happen in Bangladesh every year possibly more than one during that season.

If you were literate, then you would our cyclones develop in the Bay of bangal and a little further, literally picking up surface matter from sea, this includes liquid.

If were literate than you would understand its an eventuality.

Talking about doomsday would be, talking about a meteorite striking and offshore oil well.

I have to ask you, as you have a passion for needles - have you found somewhere safe?

your views are uninformed. The Gulf of Mexico experiences a dozen hurricanes each year and yet it's been producing oil since 1947. Plus your suggestion of replacing hydrocarbons with green hydrogen is hilarious. The amount of green energy needed for electrolysis from solar or wind makes green hydrogen uneconomical today, the cost is 10-15 USD per kilogram of green hydrogen. Plus, scientists predict the impact from hydrogen leaks will be as devastating to the ozone as methane. So no hydrogen isn't going to be a silver bullet unless we come up with a leak proof system to produce, transport and store Hydrogen.

Thats on American coastline , the land of ophun-fuhere and the greats, so best behaviour.

Do you really think, they really care about some where like Iraq, Nigeria and another.

Still to this day in these area they haven't cleaned the spills properly. Especially Nigeria.

They are giving local Iraqis leukaemia like its sweets on eid and Xmas.

By building oil well purging Station Close to homes, school e.t.c. do you really think they are gonna care about some where bdesh? That lower down in their 'western 19th century ugenic order of the world' which they haven't fully gotten rid of?

They have broken every kind of regulation set that you can possibly think in places like these

I would be completely against this. Current high energy prices should not be used as a barometer for any contract.

BD should engage own people or contractors to undertake surveys and drill test sites. Its going to be very expensive as one in 10 drill sites are successful.

However once sites are identified BD would be able to strike a better deal or go it alone. The cost of exploration may run into $1-2b but leaving it to EM or others would mean BD would be deprived of resources worth tens of billions in the long run.

BD must take a long view, go slow but keep control and develop these fields independently.

Someone here is talking about that BAPEx of BD created and run by the GoB and are operated by a few DU geologists who know nothing better than high school graduates from non- Muslim countries.

They pray very eagerly five times or more in a day to seek help from the SkyPower. Not bad but without results for the last 7 decades.

Just a fake faith in supernatural things does not produce goods that the Christians produce by learning technologies and working hard to apply those technologies.

at this point I will disengage since I don't have the time or the patience to educate you.
The rules are set and enforced by the country these companies operate in, be it Nigeria or Bangladesh. The operator has billions invested in off shore operations, the average cost of running a deep sea rig is about a 1m$ a day. So they're aren't going to take local regulations lightly if the appropriate authorities within the jurisdiction these rigs operate in monitor and regulate with diligence. In conclusion, banana republics will be exploited by all, be it western, Chinese or local operators...so don't be a banana.

There are around 4000+ oil rigs in gulf of Mexico on US side. Heck you can see some of those rigs when flying in and out of Houston, Texas airport.
There is at least one hurricane each year that blows right through them., Well they stop operations for a few days then go right back at it.

Banana Republics? If your not a banana Republic the large corps will lobby thier good old friend to beat you into one so they can squeeze that extra billion out of you.

There was this South American country that was fairly OK, middle income, due to it production of fruit being good and quantity it almost put a American Corp out of bizz they lobbied and created a very nice famine .

They steered into becoming the banana Republic it is today. If it was a nation mainly of blonde and blue it may be different.

All in a days good work for the choosen opun-fuhere, that have ideologically from analytical pov, made themselves the mortal demi gods of the world .

Yes it's not the silver bullet, it's going to become a transition fuel, or middle stepping Stone to becoming fully green. Hydrogen will play a part especially in heavy machinery as batteries won't and will never be enough at current tech standard

Well done, this, possibly it could have been another one in the south american region too as well. They were on their way to becoming a upper middle income country.

Over a couple of billion usd more profit being squeezed, the ophun-fuhere demi mortal gods decided it.

It's like the demi mortal gods will even notice a couple more billion in their country? When they can print as much money as they like, and everything is pegged against the dollar for international trade.

these lands that are filled and run by these "creatures " have to literally buy the dollar off the demi mortal gods, sometimes even though no sanctions are applied. Through various unofficial means , buying the dollar for goods or services that these creature states require can be made exceptionally difficult.

This is what happens when you have reached mortal demi God like status .

@Tom-tom

Entering the renewable green hydrogen generation is the one for bdesh.

And where would you generate all the RE needed for the green hydrogen production?

Regards

Iike certain societies ppls like to victim blame even In some very sound secure places where it was prepertrated, and the victim acted normally. (Unprovoked, uninvited)

Ophun-fuhere demi God mortals , like to pin the blame on these creature states. However they act morally superior, as their conscious is clear, as their extension of God, that has fathered himself with his own creation and is also guided by his father when he was in his human form .
Has absolved of all sin, they can do what ever they want.
