I remember there was that green one that was very advertised but alas

I was just wondering because we have electric motorcycles, these days electronics are in almost all machines whether running on petrol, diesel or electricity

OMG!
I just looked it up. it is on Radio Pakistan (Pakistani equivalent of the BBC) webpage

@Syed1. there should be some kind of language proficiency test for people who are given such important jobs

Urdu is our national language. Not English.

Urdu is our national language. Not English.
don't tell me. tell it to Pakistan officialdom, tell it to international contract writers and deal-makers, arbitrators and mediators. not knowing English can land Pakistan in great difficulties internationally. this kinda stupidity cost Pakistan around 6 billion dollars for not understanding details of Reko Diq contract by one semi-literate judge. and it also lost billions of dollars to Turkey because of the same kinda illiterate stupidity coupled with corruption.

anyhoo on paper Pakistan's National Language is Urdu but its official language is English, as is the lingua franca of the most of the world

Yes but if the electricity produced is by furnace oil then it beats the point. Infact that would cause more harm as long transmission loses are added. We first need to make our electricity production carbon free or atleast majority of it.
Not really a gasoline engine is 25-30%% efficient a power house run on same is 50-60% efficient

Pehley Electricity ki demand poori karlo khuda ke bando.

while its true that it will lead to increased demand in the electricity it will also lead to decreased demand in the petrol and other lubricants. more over the electricity produced at power stations are created with 50 to 60 percent efficiency while gasoline is about 30 percent.

electricity generation will be an issue but not so much that we cant overcome it.

Is every city and village getting complete uninterrupted electric supply through out the year.

You say overcome as if we have been running on surplus for the last 3 decades and there has been no shortfall and there have been no power outages plaguing both the industries and common man alike.

for those areas ICE cars are available. Just because we are introding the electrical cars doesnt mean that we are simply scrapping all the others.you are looking at 2 decade minimum before electrical cars became a normal thing in pakistan.

First build the promised 5 million houses in 5 years. One year has already passed and not a single house has been built to date (plenty demolished though).

It would be much better to give tax incentives to Toyota and Honda so that they must start manufacturing Hybrid vehicles in Pakistan. Local manufacturers should make hybrid cars in the price bracket of 10lack, and 25 lack so lower middle class and also the upper middle class can buy locally manufactured cars that are efficient. Sales tax and yearly tax on Hybrid vehicles could also be waived.

The aforementioned solution is much better than Fawad Chaudhry importing electronic rikshaws from china and then giving them out for free to people in a bid to reduce pollution or whatever.

Yes power houses are more efficient but then also the efficiency is compensated with huge line losses, conversion losses and others.

Onr big problem.with Electric transportation is the availability of charging stations, those are costly and requires land, fast charging time, those will be the major challenge
Pehley Electricity ki demand poori karlo khuda ke bando.

with Vehicle to Grid technology, Electric transportation can be used to charge yoiur home like UPS, that isnt a big issue
